What are your 3 favorite places in Ireland?

    We just went there for the first time and drove through the countryside for a week. We saw quite a bit of the country, but 3 places stood out for us. They are:

    1. Blarney Castle
    2. Cliffs of Moher
    3. Rock of Cashel

    What are your 3 favorites?

    Trinity College library
    Castle Trim

      We did see the Trinity College library and liked it quite a bit, but not the other two. What was their appeal to you?

        Trim was where they filmed a good bit of Brave Heart and I liked the movie.
        Drewstown House is a beautiful old estate with an interesting story.  When we were visitng one of the people living there had grown up there when it was an orphanage. I was also there digging in the garden on September 11, 2001 when the Trade Centers were bombed.

      We also liked the Ring of Kerry, although the roads nearly gave me a heart attack a few times. Beautiful scenery.
