Start with walmart. They give better deals online than you can get in the store. You can have it shipped to the walmart closes to you free of charge. Don't stop here, continue to search online until you find the deal you are looking for.
Try looking at netbooks. They are small, cheap, and affordable.
I bought my Acer for only $300. It doesn't compare to my new Mac, but for only $300, I can't complain too much. I bought it off Amazon, but I would look at Walmart and other places as well. Good luck!
Dell.com has never let me down, and it is usually cheaper than in the stores. I got an inspiron 11z for a reasonable price, and there are a lot of other greats.
