Where I live in the southern Spanish hills, there is not much American food, but lots of American TV so the kids know what it is. On the coast and to the west, there are more McDonalds per square mile than anywhere else and a Spaniard needs an English dictionary to order. So yes, thereabouts the people in Spain do eat cheeseburgers. That doesn't mean the people OF Spain do!

From what I've seen of Spain - Madrid, Alicante, Pamplona and San Sebastian - there are plenty of burger restaurants. Some are the ubiquitous McDonalds, while others are locally owned, the latter being invariably superior. So, it seems people in Spain do like cheeseburgers.
