What are the best places to visit in northern Italy?
Try Lake Garda [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Garda]. I've driven past it about ten times, no time to stop. Looks beautiful, lots to do.
I'd recommend the Dolomites if you like skiing and dramatic views.
Dolomites, Lake Garda, Venice.
Tuscany and Florence. Love the Tuscan countryside.
