Have you ever gone on a 'Working Holiday'?

If so what did you do and what was your experience like? Do you have to be particuarly fit and healthy and would you do it again?

I had.  It was nice but a bit time constrain.  You are not as free as you wish since you have commitment "work related"

My work holiday was when I had to go for a conference. I got to go to New Orleans for the first time. It was nice to see the place (way before Hurricaine Katrina hit) in its splendor.  However, I was only able to go on one good tour since I had to be in the conference the rest of the time.  It was interesting though.

Yes I had my share of such experience. You are on a holiday, butt still you have your work commitments to fulfill, so not a full rest I would say.

I don't think I will be doing it again in future.

Yes I have and it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.  I travelled than worked, travelled than worked.

It puts you in colse contact with the local community and families and gives you a true understanding of life in the area.

I have written a hub about working as a lighthouse keeper on your vacation.  You actually stay at the lighthouse.  I haven't participated in the Keepers Program yet but I plan to.  I love lighthouses and I think it would be a great experience.

That's most of my weekends.  I usually spend the whole daytime in class learning Economics. It's too tiring and I nearly fall asleep in class.

I am really jealous with the people working on these trains. How wonderful will be their everyday life. Check out these trains. They're really awesome.  I haven't got a chance to try it yet.

I did a working holiday in France picking grapes for two weeks.  It was very hard work, but also a fun and memorable time...
