Has anyone been to the City in Japan called Kobe?
I have heard it's a beautiful place.
The Kyoto-Osaka-Kobe area is massive and if you have a chance in Osaka, spend some time atop the Umeda Sky Building, it takes ones breath away. A giant man made concrete mass, Osaka stretches out as far as you can see, with rivers, roads, railways and buildings, dotted about with a few fabulous gardens from the mountains to the ocean. As you get out to the edge of this in Kobe you begin to see the natural beauty that Japan has to offer again. If you like sake, there are a number of producers in the area. Before you sample any sake, however, go for a walk to the Nunobiki Waterfall. I know most Japanese people love to holiday in large cities and right in the middle of the action. Get out, I say. By the way, if I had made my way to Osaka and did not go to Kyoto, I would kick myself. Buddhist temples, palace grounds, parks, bench seats amidst the storm water drains, Kyoto is a beautiful place.
