    After our cruise we arrive in Vancouver . What places do you recommend visiting from there ?

    We are in Seattle right now and will be in Vancouver in a couple of weeks . Looking at our options of places to visit. we would love to do some housesitting if possible for a few weeks.

    There's a great train museum that we enjoyed a few years ago. Presumably it is still there. The people restoring the trains were volunteers and very interesting to talk with about the local area.

    I really would recommend the carefully manicured Butchart Gardens. Even if you're not a gardener - and I am not, but my wife has a "green thumb" - the grounds are a delight and a photo opportunity. You need not rent a car to get there; a bus can take you there from the cruise vessel or the #75 bus will get you there from downtown Victoria.
