    We are in a beach right now and enjoying it but we really enjoyed our holiday last Christmas when we stayed in various historical places in Spain and Portugal. Being able to walk to interesting sites makes my holidays doubly enjoyable.

    I've been on so few vacations (though I appreciate every one of them that my parents managed to provide) that they all sound so appealing! Let's use the process of elimination...

    Beach: Tempting. There are so many beaches! Most of my vacations have been along Lake Huron (I'm from Michigan) though. And while I'd love to see the ocean, I'm a little afraid of all the things that live in it.

    Snow: I don't ski or snowboard, and snow is a frequent occurrence in my hometown, so there's no need to travel for it.

    City: I find cities to all be somewhat similar. Specific cities I'd love to visit: NYC or London, for example. Otherwise I'd have to have an additional reason other than "cool city" to choose this.

    Sightseeing: There are many places in this world I want to see. But I'm not good with crowds of people. Still, this is my second choice, which leaves...

    Cruise! I've wanted to go on a cruise my whole life - plus I've heard the good ones have things like casinos and endless buffets! I'm a "relaxation" vacationer. I'd love lying around, reading and sleeping and swimming and pigging out on food and watching entertainment.
