My experience at the Jersey Shore was not good..It was a very disgusting place..Went to the boardwalks and the trump casino and the Tropicana..stayed out of the water..it had a putrid odor and you could actually see floating medical waste.

Yeah, it seemed to me like it was a place that reached its prime a long time ago and now it's just overrun with alcohol and drug use, gambling, fake tans, steroid-abusers, terrible indoor mini-golf courses, skanks, Hondas with 2-foot-high spoilers, un-safe amusement park rides, garbage on the beach, bad odors, and expensive-but-crappy food.

That just about sums it up! Why do you think they moved the Miss United States pageant and created Monopoly Now and Then? Both were based on Atlantic City in it's prime and that time has long gone.

I'm a Jersey girl and even as a kid it was kind of an unspoken rule that you never went to Atlantic City (yuk!) But there are still very beautiful spots in small towns along the shore. As long as you can get along without the glitz you can find some nice relaxing places smile

I'll never forget being in line at a convenience store with one of my friends from NJ. As we waited to pay, we were amusing ourselves by reading the tabloid headlines. One said:

    GIANT SQUID ATTACKS JERSEY SHORE

My friend said, "there is no way that can be true....no one goes to the Jersey Shore!!!"
