My son is moving to Boulder for school (not at CU).
Anyone familiar with the city and environs who can steer him toward a good neighborhood?
He's not looking to live on The Hill (Party Central not his scene).
How is the traffic in Boulder? Commuting from the 'burbs a possibility, we think.
Any/all insights, including warnings and places to visit as we apartment hunt most welcome.
Thanks so much.
We went to Boulder about ten years ago and stayed in a hotel right outside the city. The location seemed perfect for getting into the heart of Boulder (where I took a class) and Denver (for the mainstream workers). We also found this a perfect location for a great nearby park and a great starting point for Estes Park (which I highly recommend visiting).
Some of the food menus were a bit exotic for our taste but the restaurants had a good selection. One thing I will mention is that it snowed while we were there and that was September.
Good luck, I am certain you will like it.
Just Enjoy the new start and good luck!
Apparently.... Boulder Rocks!!
And a camera, backpack and good boots are worthy additions!

We will be visiting Hawaii (Big Island), Maui, Kauai and Oahu in April/May and love hiking, exploring, nature & eating out, away from the tourist traps. Would love to hear where the local people go for outdoor...
