I've Accepted the 30 Hubs in 30 Days HubChallenge

Updated on March 26, 2011

Today I have decided to accept the 30 Hubs, in 30 Days HubChallenge. As the name might suggest, the purpose of this challenge is to write 30 hubs within a 30 day time period.

Time to Get Serious About Hubbing

It is no secret to me that HubPages is a great place to earn passive income online. A quick check of my ASense earnings lets me know I am making money every single day from the huns that i have published. Each and every published hub is another opportunity to earn passive income with no additional effort.

Then why is it in my 4 years here I have a grand total of twelve published hubs? That pace is equal to one hub every quarter. Imagine if I started this challenge 4 years ago and continued to do it again month after month. After four years I would have over 1,400 hubs all earning me money as I sleep.

Perhaps that pace is more than I could do for four years straight but it is surely something I can do for one month. I am accepting this challenge in order to force myself to be more serious about continuously writing new content.

Preparing for the HubChallenge

I have not just jumped into this challange gung-ho with no preparation. Going from a hub-a-quarter into a hub-a-day is going to be an extreme change of pace for me. In order to prepare, every time I have had an idea, I saved it as a draft to get back to later. Now I already have eleven hubs ready to be finished and published.

The other way I have prepared is buy studying ways to find topics for quality, paying hubs. For over a month I have been spending an hour or two every day collecting ideas on how to write better hubs that will attract readers, please the search engines, and convert to earnings.

This challenge will be a way for me to find out what works and does not work from what I have researched. Applying these skills should not only make me a better writer it should also give me the experience to benefit more from HubPages in the future.

Wish Me Luck!

No matter how much I prepared, it is now time to put up or shut up. I've made my goal public and now I need to fulfill my promise to myself, and the HubPages community, to write 30 Hubs in 30 Days.

Anyone who would also like to participate in this challenge can find more information here.
