Cat Scratching Posts - Protect Your Furniture from Clawing With Cat Condos or Trees
Cats--Gotta love 'em!
I love cats--they are such interesting creatures. They can be so independent one moment, but so loving the next, and who can resist a kitty cuddling up to you and purring contentedly? But. . . cats are prone to want to sharpen their claws on just about anything, and usually that can mean a piece of furniture! One remedy for this is to get your cat something that is just for them to scratch to their heart's content--a scratching post!
These come in all shapes, sizes, and price ranges. You can purchase a simple scratcher, or go all out on a fancy one, if you can afford it, or just want to spoil your kitty! My daughter has one of the simpler ones that has catnip underneath the scratching surface, and her kitty, Buster, just loves it.
Some mid-range choices!
Refills and Replacements Available!
Once the scratching surface on some of these brands of scratchers becomes worn out, you can buy replacements, which is much more reasonable than buying a whole new scratching post, condo, or piece of furniture.
You can go to this Amazon page, and see the many refills and replacements that are available.
Carpeted scratching posts available
When I was a child, my dad built a two-story carpeted scratching post for our cat, Buttons. She loved it, and spent many hours either lying on it, or sharpening her claws on its carpet. But, if you don't have anyone around who is able to build one, there are many different styles like that one available to purchase on Amazon!
Beffy's Pet Shop--A Series of Pet Product and Information Hubs
A lot of the hubs I write will be based on experiences that we had with our dog, Beffy--hence the name on the title! I love animals, and I enjoy learning about anything to do with making their life a happier and healthier one, or in the case of some articles, just a cuter one!

Carpeted Condo Cat Scratchers
You'll have a hard time deciding!
As I was researching the scratching posts, I was amazed about how many different types of these there are now. I would have a hard time trying to pick just one, so be prepared. But picking out the perfect one for your cat will be so fun, and your kitty, and your furniture, will thank you for it!
