Do you treat your pet like a number of the family?

   Do you treat your pet like a number of the family?
   
   Or are they "just a dog", "just a cat" to you?  How far would you go/how much money would you spend to keep them happy and healthy?

   my dogs and cat are definitely a member of the family. Due to sensitivity, I find myself buying a better dog food. And my cat loves Goodlife Recipe catfood. I tried getting a cheaper brand and he wouldn't eat it, so of course I had to go back to Goodlife.
   
   They are basically happy furry friends. The only time two of the dogs would rather not be happy is bath time. I win every time but they wear me out and that probably makes them happy--somehow they think they won. They didn't want to get wet and soaped in the first place. And they know they will get a treat afterwards.

   My dog is part of our family. He doesn't sit at the table with us but he gets presents during holidays and he has holiday bandanas he wears to celebrate.
   
   I take my dog to the vet for check ups and make sure he takes his supplements to keep him healthy.

   My pet is a member of our family. He treats us better than anyone else does. He is always happy to see me and is always loving. That is more than I can say about some other members of my family.

   We live with a cat named Franz and a dog named Rocky (his actual full name is Rock of Chickamauga but we shorten it up a bit) and they are definitely members of the family. In fact, living with them has made me question whether it is right to 'own' pets. It seems though that they are very happy here, so I just don't think of it as ownership. It's more like they need a place to stay and be loved and we need them to love us and share our lives, so it all works out.

   CR Rockwood, I 100% agree.  Some people treat animals like it's an honored privilege to have our love...I think it's the other way around!
