Which city has the world’s worst traffic jams?
Which city has the longest vehicular queuings?
Manila Philippines. Everyone who comes here, or lives here would tell you.
Houston has to be at the top somewhere. For example, one of the main freeways - I-45 runs as far north as Dallas and as far south as Galveston, where it dead ends into the Gulf of Mexico. The stretch between Galveston and Dickinson (a small town north of Galveston) has been under construction since I moved to Texas in 1973. The traffic is always backed up. Whoever planned one part of it deserves the Reward for the Most Idiotic Engineered Freeway in the United States. At this particular point, there is an exit to one of the most populated towns in that area. At the same point, the HOV lane ends for the Metro bus from Houston. Also, at this point, four lanes merge into three. Not only that, the exit for a very popular mall is just one exit after this. At Christmas time, if you take the bus from Houston, it takes about 30 minutes to get through these two exits of the freeway that are only about one mile apart.

Where in Texas would you most like to visit? If you could visit any town, city, or specific thing in Texas - what would it be? As a tourist, or person living far from here, what would you most like to see in Texas?

Has courtesy of drivers in a city with traffic jams deteriorated so badly nowadays?Nobody seems to be giving way to others, even though they are on the wrong side of the turn. Sad state of affairs.. *sigh*
