Do you prefer five 8-hour work days or four 10-hour work days, per week, if you had the choice?
eight hour shifts allow for a more planned life style, child care is easier to take care of. but, unless you work week ends, getting things like doctor appointments and oil changes done can be very challenging. it is better for family life really. ten hour shifts are also nice, you have three days off to get those things already spoken of done. Finding child care can be hard though. the sitter is watching your children at least eleven hours. Either one will not take that much toll on you physically though. Currently I work three twelves a week. I find myself using those days off to recooperate. twelves are just too long. I have worked all of these kind of hours. Eight hours is best. Ten is okay. Hope I helped.
I'd definitely take the four ten hour days. I often stay late at work anyway as I find it hard to switch off when I'm there, so a ten hour day isn't unusual for me. It is tiring but I get much more personal stuff done on days off.
I would prefer the four 10-hour days because you are given three full days without work. Although I am well beyond this, I typically work six 12-hour days, but such is owning your own business.
Well, four 10-hour work days per week sounds nice to me, but I can rarely get myself to take days off. I got goals to meet!
I would prefer the four 10-hour days. Gives me more days off and allows me to do things I will not be able to do on a normal work day.
