Do hub questions gain anything in a financial way for you as an affiliate?

I am very new and am trying to look around the site. This may be a very obvious question. But please be kind and remember. Its only obvious if you know the answer. Thank you Ddraigcoch x

No, they don't directly earn anything. However, they do boost author scores, which is an important factor. Author scores have to reach and maintain a high score (70, if I remember correctly) for your links to be "do follow". A lower score means dead links. So while participation in the community doesn't have a direct monetary benefit, it does have an indirect influence.

Immediately no. I would imagine by asking the right questions you could gain very valuable research or ideas that lead to monetary gain later.

Not directly, though they are an excellent way to get a feel for what people are thinking and the kind of information they're looking for, get some of your own burning questions answered, and build rapport within the Hubpages community. If you're consistently offering quality questions and/or answers and it's clear that you're truly trying to help people, others are more likely to trust that your articles were crafted specifically with helping them in mind. As a result, people may be more likely to take your advice regarding buying decisions, or to trust that the ads displayed on your site really are on the subject they're trying to learn more about, and in those cases your earnings will be positively impacted.

You will not earn anything based on ad revenue, like you would with your articles, but as for in the long term, yes they will help with your earnings. When you answer and ask questions, you are sticking your foot in the door of the Hubpages community and your author score will rise. Along with this, as you answer and ask questions, you may attract others to your hubs. All together, you do not earn from answering, but it is a good way to refer others to your hubs.
