Why does it say I'm missing a summary on all my hubs? How do I fix that?

    Why does it say I'm missing a summary on all my hubs? How do I fix that?

    Go to the bottom of your "my account" page. There is a legend there that includes the "missing summary" icon. Click on it and instructions will pop up to show you how to add summaries to your hubs....

    You can "fix" it or not--your choice.  Having a summary for each Hub is optional.

    If you choose to fix it, you first open a Hub into Edit mode.  Then on the right side, two to the right of the "tags" button is a  button for "summary".  Click on that, write yourself a summary, save, and you're done.

    I personally do NOT like the concept--because (a) Google (and the other search engines) seem to grab text lines FOR me that are better than most of those I've tried writing myself and (b) I find writing summaries to be a royal pain, very difficult and usually not very good.

    But that's just me.  It's your option.

    If I don't does it go against my score? I would hope not if so I will fix all my hubs.

    I saw all these 'A's as well beside my hubs a few days ago and had no idea what they were for! The just mysteriously appeared.

    Luckily I don't have that many hubs so writing a summary won't take too long. According to the info I read, Hub Pages say that a summary can be helpful for search engines - whether this is the case or not I have no idea but I figure it can't hurt to pop in a couple of sentences. But if you have a large number of hubs - I only have 29 - then it would take someone a hell of a long time to get through them. If it was me with say 100 hubs I would probably just put summaries into the latest ones.
