When you publish a new hub, what hub score do you typically receive immediately after publishing the hub? And why does this score change with each new hub published?

There is no definite answer to this question.  In other words - your question has no answer, and thus can not be answered with any degree of truth, or validity.

Nowadays hubs start off with a lower score...or a higher score than they once did.

It used to be that hubs always started at a score of 50.  Now, hub's start off with a score based upon the chosen title and subject manner - according to the hubpages scoring algorithm.

Now, if you work on your hubs more slowly as I do - you will indeed see that as you add text, pictures, or other capsules - those scores will rise with time.

I've published hubs starting below 50...because I was just ready to get it done and got it done, and hit publish.

I've also published hubs that started out at a score of around 75 - that was only due, the high score, to the fact that the title or subject matter was totally unique to Hubpages.com, and probably a rare subject matter all across the world wide web.

Don't be fooled - my hub on Russ Barenberg started it's life with a high score - because the subject was obscure, NOT because it's going to ever be a huge money making internet search engine loved viral subject.

What hub score a newly published hub is going to have can vary.

If you make a new Hub and add all the content right away and then hit publish, Hubs start out around 50.

But if you add content more slowly, and save the Hub as a draft and let several days go by, it's possible for your Hub to start out with a much higher score (if it's a quality hub with great content).
