What is the difference between Thanks for SHARING and SOCIALLY SHARED?

   What is the difference between Thanks for SHARING and SOCIALLY SHARED?
   
   i've seen you use both, and thought all sharing was the same.

   Hi alocsin...I always thought they were the same thing and had, pretty much, treating them the same. 
   
   Perhaps "sharing" means on Hubpages and "Socially sharing" means other platforms (twitter, Facebook, That Pin one...?). 
   
   Anyways my friend...these are my thoughts and I hope they help.  Mind...don't make any bets based on it.  Up until last Tuesday...I thought the world was flat.  I'm usually not the first to know these things...

   I'm with ThoughtSandwiches on this, at least in the ways I use the terms, for the most part.
   
   For me, socially shared occurs when I share a link to the hub on other social networks; when I use shared, I've shared it both on HP and social networks.
   
   Hopefully Brett will come by and clear up any confusion for us.

   Thanks for SHARING I was originally using for just sharing on Hubpages, as the original idea was to spread our articles to a wider audience via Hubpages. However, as the idea developed, it turned out it was just as easy for everyone to share on other networks that they were members of and to SOCIALLY SHARE the hub. Personally, whether I write thanks for SHARING, or SOCIALLY SHARED, I share via at least 2 networks. You can use either, but SOCIALLY SHARED tells that person that you have spread their hub to more than just Hubpages members.
   
   Hope it helps and let the SHARING continue, as from the feedback I have had, it seems to make a big difference to overall traffic and search engine traffic! :-)

   When I say, "Thanks for Sharing" I mean thank you for sharing your knowledge, information and/or article for everyone to read. When I say, "Socially Shared" I mean I shared it with another source such as Facebook, Twitter, my friends etc.
