   My earnings are a few dollars a month, I think $6 in one month is my highest. I did notice that my earnings did increase from a few cents to a few dollars when I started sharing my hubs on Facebook and Pintrest. You can look at the traffic sources on  your statistics page and if all of your hits are coming from hubpages, then you are not going to make any money. Our fellow hubbers are not going to click the ads, so you need outsiders to come in and browse a little. (I could not read the chart either--tried enlarging it and that did not work. )

      there is a reason not to click on others ads - you'll get banned from HubPages - it's against the TOS

      Christin S:  Where in the Terms of Use does it state that we can't click on ads in other people's hubs?  I just skimmed through the terms of use, and I don't see it.  I know that we aren't supposed to click on our own ads, but others? Please advise.

   Mine are low, but they are growing more steadily as I follow more people and they follow back. I can see a change since I made a goal to add followers daily. I write some very specialized areas most of the time, so I know I need to plan some articles and subjects that appeal to a much larger group. I can see that makes a big difference for other writers. It is a slow hard start, but consistency and it will pay off. I just hope I can get it to that point fast enough!

   If you want to earn more my best advice to you is to write more hubs. You've only written an average of a little more than one a month. I'm sure if you add hubs at a faster pace your earnings will grow.

   I didn't start getting a payout until I'd been a hubber for over two years. It took me that long to get up to 50 hubs -- the point at which I began to see that it was worthwhile.  Also, it made a big difference when I was able to join the HubPages Ad Program. I never seem to do well with just Google Adsense. Now I reach payout about every two months. I seem so far to be just a few dollars short each month of reaching payout. If I weren't so lazy during this hot summer, I might get a few more hubs written and start reaching payout every month. I seem to have a case of brain block which has a side effect of writers' block.
   
   To earn more on HubPages or any other writing site, you should have at least 50 high quality articles to see dollars instead of pennies unless you do a lot of selling from your hubs. My hubs weren't written primarily to sell from, so I don't make many sales from them at all.

      Same here 2 yrs, 50 hubs - but for me it's every 4 months & only since the HubPages Ad Pro which  made more than $100. Still  far from  payout threshold from google.

   I don't receive earnings yet as I haven't enough experience writing on HP.
   Maybe when I feel more comfortable I will subscribe...my advice to you is write, write, and continue writing...the more hubs you have possibly the more hits you will get..which in turn if I understand the system correctly will initiate more hits= $

    Like the others, I can't read the screen shot even if I enlarge it.  I will say that I have watched my earnings grow as I publish more hubs.  When I say "grow" though I mean by a few pennies at a time.  My best day was $1.43, which was the day that I had the hub of the day.  Do I want it to be more?  Of course!  However, the focus here can't be on making money.  If you focus on writing good quality hubs and publishing on a regular basis, then the money will be the cherry on top of the sundae.  You have to enjoy the craft of writing and sharing your work most of all, in my opinion.

    The image is too small to read.  But you are not alone when it comes to earning at Hubpages.  Most people don't see much of earning the first year or so unless you publish a lot of hubs and write like a pro.  If you're patient and write at least two good hubs a week, you'll start seeing the $$$.

    I don't have any earnings, at the end of each month, I owe HubPages money. In all seriousness I'm hoping in a few months to be able to buy a stamp with my HubPages earnings...wish me luck.

    Mine is miniscule to non-existent. However, writing isn't just a fun thing to do for me; I need to generate income and do it quickly to pay my bills. So, I focus on writing for websites that pay for content within a few days. Frankly, I do not have the spare time to write here in the hopes that my hubs will generate income down the road. I need income this week, not next year or even next month. This site does not accommodate that.

       freelancewritinggigs.com, for one, has many leads. Contentauthority.com  is one specific site.Craigslist, believe it or not, often has writing gigs that can lead to regular clients. Getting "direct orders" from clients who like your work is the best.

       I checked out freelancewritinggigs.com. Do you ever actually get any of these? It looks like most are travel jobs with a few online which takes you to a craigslist page. Is this correct?

       The offerings change daily with many diverse opportunities ranging from blogging to songwriting and ghostwriting. There are other websites that generate leads. I recently lost my motherboard so I can't recall them now. I'm nearly starting over again.

       You're welcome. Look around on the web, there are some great sites that offer daily leads to sites requiring writers for content, blogs, articles and more. It's big right now. Quality writing is at a premium. Payment usually goes to paypal weekly.
