Why is HubPages discouraging it writers by dropping the Hubber score?

It seems HP expects us Hubbers to be on here 27/7 or they drop the Hubber score.

I have found it to be the opposite. When I was here the most, it used to be in the 80s. When I started taking month-long hiatuses it went into the 90s. I disappear for months at a time, come back and find it at 98-100. I start getting involved, leaving comments, jumping into answers, publishing hubs, it goes down 8 or 10 points and takes a while to work its way back up.

I don't know why. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  I've given up on it. As long as it doesn't effect my traffic, I'm good.

Thank you so much for answering the question.  I guess HP just don't like me.

I agree with WiccanSage. Although I've never been so lucky to reach the 90s, I am always surprised when I return after extremely long hiatuses (several months) to a fairly decent score.

Shyron honey.....believe me, I know as well as you that it's easier said than done.  We take pride in our work and we care about results and feed back.  I for one, understand.  You know I do!

I fully understand why it bothers you Shyron. I am an intermittent Hubber, but the dedicated ones are obvious, for reasons sometimes including score, but not always. I think you should keep those nails well manicured and strong, so you can hang in.

My hubber score doesn't vary that much. It's usually at a steady 94-96 range. A couple of times it actually made the 100 mark. But my score has never been below 93. Not sure what the formula is for calculating the hubber score. I comment on a daily basis, but have been pretty lax in publishing this year. Nevertheless, my score has remained pretty steady.

Management, or the moderator assigned to me, if that is the case here, must be a Trump supporter.  The last couple of days whenever I have said anything negative about Trump my hubber score has dropped.  In fact it went all the way from a 96 to a 91 when I said Trump would be our first (so far as we know) pedophile president.

Given that the man is sexist, racist, misogynistic, homophobic, and likes 'little girls' a little too much, and generally has just about every negative characteristic that's possible, I can't think why anyone would support him unless they share and support his values.  Can you?  I can't imagine voting for someone like Trump for president of the U.S. and leader of the free world.

People who are voting for Mr. Trump and supporting him because they hate themselves and want to punish themselves should instead come to Texas (at least 65% conservative) and wear a hair shirt whilst sitting by the pool.  That way they can punish themselves without taking their self-anger out on the rest of us. smile)

Watch my hubber score plummet to 25 (or less) now!

Au fait, that could well be. I spoke out against Trump also.  Thank you so much for answering this question.

There was a time when my score was in the low 90's. I see today it is 84, yesterday it was 85. I really don't know what factor lowers or raises our score. I do know when I publish a hub my score goes down, yet it is published. Beats me???????????
