Why does the author score go up and down? Is it a big deal or no. Went from 90 to 89.
My goal was to reach 100. Hope it is not going to go down anymore.
you have to be active all the time in order to keep your score, otherwise it will go down. the big deal is that at some point (under 75) your links will get the "nofollow" tag. so if you are using seo for your site, your links won't count.
It's back to 90. The more you are active, the higher it goes. Also, the new 'hub karma' has an effect on your hub score as well. If you publish often, and you link your hubs, it will continue to go up.......and then go down again.
And then go up .
In answer to your question, I have recently started becoming more active on Hubpages again. HubKarma does help your overall score and since I started linking between hubs my score has gone up slightly.
It has also helped to become more active, not just in publishing hubs but in contributing questions and answers and other aspects of Hubpages. Luckily they are all quite addictive activities to do!
yes, becoming active in hubpages plays the role in your author score. If you go below 75 you lose your dofollow links and which is a problem for people promoting their websites here.
It seems you have your answers, I learned from them all! Thanks for asking it, I was wondering the same.
I see that if you post a handful of answers in forums etc, your hubscore increases. I guess its a good thing.
It doesn't really matter--especially such a minor change. Mine changes every day. I do know that the more work your do on the site and the more you participate and write, the higher your score will be. Long authoritative hubs are probably the best thing to concentrate on to get a high hubber score.

This is what I have observed with my hubscore. After publishing a hub and leaving comments on other hubs, I get lots of traffic but the hubscore falls by the hour. When I stay away from HubPages for a few days, and the traffic drops to nothing, the hubscore starts to climb and reaches an all-time...

I am not sure about this and I know there are hundreds of forum posts where people complain that their hubberscores dropping and they don't know why.My hubberscore just dropped 4 points in 24 hours after steadily climbing for the last 2 weeks and the key is to determine what I have been doing...

My author score is now 88. I've been active on the forums, hopping hubs, and answering questions. I haven't had this low of score since when I first started. Does removing poorly performing hubs cause author scores to go down or what is the problem?

I'm a newbie and I just discovered the customizable home page. It's VERY cool and VERY well implemented. But one thing I miss from the standard home page is seeing my author score. On the standard home page, my profile picture has the author score superimposed on the lower right corner...

Just to say - I've an Author Score of 100 again at last.... it's been sitting at 99 for the last week or so, mocking me.So - I had to start this thread in case I fall asleep and wake up later to a 99 .... so I'll know it wasn't a dream Although, I did write a hub a couple of years back on how to...

10 days ago I had an author Hubscore of 93. Since then I have - published 3 more hubs - participated in many forums - received 12 comments on my hubs - posted comments on others hubs - acquired 10 more fansAND my score has slipped to 88, 86, and now 85 and seems to be still going down. I know...
