Saying hi! I joined yesterday! :)

   Hello people!
   As you can see from title of this post, I just joined HubPages.
   I'm trying to learn my way around and hope it want take too long! LOL
   I'm a bit of foreigner here (and literally since I'm from Croatia) so please be so kind and assist me in my first steps here.
   I published my first hub: http://hubpages.com/hub/reusing-before-trashing and would appreciate any advice, suggestion or critique you might have!

         Read your article. Nice and simple put together. Think I follower most of it so far!
         Looked around for people I know and became their fan, posted few comment to several hubs by others, added avatar, added picture to my first hub, came here and say hi!
         
         Do you have any suggestions how to improve my first hub? Is it too long, too short? Enough informations inside?

            Michelle, To me it was perfect as if you make the hub too long people loose interest and if yo make them to short, they are always looking for more.

      Hi Michelle and welcome to hubpages! I'm sure you'll love it here.
      
      That's a pretty good hub for your first time! It looks like you did a little research before just "tossing out a first hub" like most newcomers. You've got some different capsules and even a picture.
      
      Since you're asking for help, here's some brief advice:
      The hubs that do the best are hubs with lots of good, relevant content as well as several pictures and videos. Your layout looks quite good, but maybe adding at least 3-5 more pictures and a couple videos would help it even more.
      
      Hubs that look as sharp as yours and that have multiple photos, videos, other capsules and good content are bound to succeed. They get more traffic, more adsense income and more comments!

   BTW, what do you use to make links in your profile page and not add complete url?

   1. If you go into edit text capsule and first highlight some text
   2. In the top right of the edit box you'll see a link symbol (like a piece of chain).
   3. Click of the link symbol and you will be prompted to supply the full URL.
   4. The highlighted text will now turn blue and when clicked, links to the URL you input.
   
   Hope this answers your question.  Also if you want to do several links you can use a link capsule.  Welcome to HubPages!
