Because I made payout this month in the HP ads program after not doing so last month! it was only $51.54 USD but gratefully received and shows I must be doing something right here!
I made $10.00 less this month. My views are up since Nov 22 but they are up and down. For a few days they doubled now that has stopped and they've dropped some but not real bad. They are rising from what they were the first part of Nov and Oct. I expect any day they will drop like a hot potato.
I thought HP only paid in increments of $100?
That's great old pal, I have never earned over a few pennies at a time and have no idea how the pay scale works, where to find it or what to do to make money on Hubpages. I am open for all info and ideas lol.
HubPages ads program is my best earner here now though I have made money from eBay and Amazon in the past. eBay used to be monthly but that has dropped off a lot this year.
Good luck with your hubbing!
Awsome Bard! Someday I'll get a payout lol.
That's good I've noticed a recovery of traffic too. Not to pre-crash levels, but seems to be steadily rising again. Hope so.
Yes Bard our web traffic is heading on the upwards path, I agree, but I wish it remain going that way, because we do indeed work very hard here on hubpages collectively, and we do indeed deserve a progressive come back for sure on hubpages.
All I get is spikes, the traffic will sky-rocket for a day or so and then crash. At the present moment my traffic is going down.
Same here. Up one day, crashes the next. Mine's dropping too and I'm very disheartened.
I think my success might be to do with my recent subject matter. I am not writing about stuff that gets idled any more because it is a waste of time and effort!
Well done. If you get that check each month that's even better. And if that check starts to double each month then that's better still. Good luck. Keep writing and keep learning.
Thank you, Safiq! Actually I used to make double that or more before the Google Panda so it has been disappointing seeing my earnings drop and I am hoping I can reverse this now!
Strange as this may sound, I seemed to have made more when I wasn't active this summer, do to work, then when I started back this last couple of weeks. I was pretty bummed to see I lost a few levels on my comment status. Dropped like a rock from seven to four. What is with the yo-yo in traffic? I am still doing some catch up reading on the changes that were made while I was gone.
I was encouraged and doing well. I saw my stats going up steadily since September - the last crash. Then they crashed again. I am now down to 27 page views a day. It seems that Google was working for me and now it isn't again. I really hate this. I wish they'd stop messing around. The only difference I can see is that I changed a hub from one category to another. One hub. And Google lost me. Bummer.
I noticed today that for the past week, Bing is giving me more traffic than Google at about 2 to 1.
Part of that may be that I have been gearing towards Bing not Google in the last month.
Google turns it's back on me....I turn my back on Google.
AOL was considered invincible at one point also.
I'm finding the same, I would say most of my traffic is still coming from Google but I notice on some days I get more traffic from either Bing or Yahoo. Yes I agree, if Google keeps on pissing people off, it could lose it's dominant position.
How would you tweak hubs to attract Bing searches?
Well I am no SEO expert (but there are plenty on here) but what I have been doing is using Bing's Keyword tool as opposed to Google's.
I also have my blogs listed in Bing Webmaster so I get more raw data from there about what Bing looks for.
I REALLY wish we could list HP in Bing Webmaster.
(hint hint)
Just a guess, but I think that would help drive even more Bing traffic our way.
Hope your other endeavors are productive as well! :-)

I have read many forums over the last couple of months on how traffic to HubPages has dropped considerably since July. After much investigation I believe to have figured out what has caused this drop (and I don't think it was the algorithm change).I keep statistics on my keyword performance for...

Hi everyone,Since Google's updates these past couple of months, I've noticed a significant traffic drop (about 20%). Every time I gain some traction and hope, it's a case of going back two steps again. I'm sure I'm not alone! I thought it might be a good idea to start a healthy discussion here to...

Am I taking crazy pills, or is there another google update going on, or what? My traffic dropped on 8/8/13 from about 150 views a day to 0-9. My top hub is getting zero every day now. My hub score dropped from 90-something to 76. No overpromotion, no suddenly unfeatured...

I was refraining about talking about this but it really is bad. Last month with adsense was my most profitable month, but this month so far I got 3 clicks...What could have made this change?-New Hubpages Layout?-April 1st Conflicker Virus? I was thinking these two things can't be so harmful to my...

There may already be a thread on this, but I can't find it. So the two reasons I can find for the Fred update (9th March) were backlinks from ureputable websites and for websites which had a lot of advertising Some sites have apparently dropped 90% in traffic.I truly doubt that HP is going around...

It might be coincidence, and it's possible everybody else's figures have also dropped by 500%. It's also possible that from being paid out every month for a good few years, I am suddenly not paid out at all.Is this happening to everybody?I told Matt after he banned me that I had no desire for a...
