    Hi,

I just wondered if it was possible to transfer a hub to a friend?

If so, how is this function achieved?

    Many thanks

    Michael

Okay, really appreciate the expansive answer!

It is possible in squidoo, just wondered if you could here?

I'm not sure what else you would want me to say. Did I miss some other crucial piece of information out?

Shall I say it again ?
      No.
      Louder
      NO
      With emphasis
      NO !
      In a pretty color
      NO !

      That better?

Oh, and I flagged your hub as being spam. smile

Squidoo works on a different system entirely. I think HubPages doesn't allow transfers because its based on the fact that whatever you write is your own content, and owned by you, and is therefore non-transferrable. Hubpages penalise duplicate content as well, which is something Squidoo don't really do, either.

That's more like it Mark. I was worried you were not feeling well.Zs

My question would be, why would you want to?  If you want someone else to get the earnings, I assume you could just change the adsense code.

Marissa, you can't change the code of just one hub, you'd be effecting your entire account.

I was basing my advice on the fact that Michael only HAS one Hub, so I guess it wouldn't matter!

Delete your hub, after copying everything in it. Give the friend everything he needs to recreate it under his or her name. Make sure you take a screenshot before deleting, if you want a perfect clone.

    Mark,

I'd really like to know what the problem is?

It was a genuine question and quite frankly deserved a more expansive answer.

By your ranking in this site i'd see you as the equivalent to a Senior Warrior on WF.  That saying,  i believe your treatment of me was harsh!

Regarding calling me a spammer, i'd ask you to withdraw that as it is so far from the truth and i'm undeserving of it! Spammers suck, and i've uncovered my fair share!

All i asked was advice on a subject i am expert on in squidoo, and was enquiring about on my first day here. Is that a crime? You can do it in squidoo but not here, that's okay but the spamming slur is not.

Please respond to my post, as i'd like to get this ironed out.

    Best regards

    Michael

PS  My intention is to grow a number of quality sites here that will credit to hubpages.com

Being able to transfer hubs would be a GOOD idea.

From the experience of being able to transfer lenses from one account to another or to another person it's a shame we don't have the same functionality here.

    michaelmac,

Your hub would be regarded under HubPages policy to be "over promotional". Linking to the same domain too many times is frowned upon.

I've checked out your hub and I wouldn't say it's spam.

I'd cut back the number of links to the same site, and probably have a bit more content. Otherwise it was well written from the glance I gave it.

    LOL -

Just having a little fun with you. I tend to do that when I get a sarcastic response back from someone smile  Which "no" did you like best ?

Also giving you the opportunity to fix your hub so it complies with hubpages' rules as regards content, albeit not as nicely as darkside has just done big_smile

    Hi John,

Whew! John i'm really relieved; last thing i need is a fall out with a mod!

I've taken 2 links out of the text and will be adding another text module this evening.
Can i add a link in it?
Are the other text modules okay?

My aim is to contribute, and if possible help here - if anybody needs advice on squidoo, give me a shout; i should be able to help.

    Thanks John

    Michael

    Hey Darkside,

Just trying to be charitable...the offers there for anyone.

If i wanted to ask about hubpages i'd ask people like you or ron, for example.

Btw, how do you add pictures to your text module?

    Michael

You have to add pictures to Photo Capsule. And then you "toggle the width" to get it to go next to the Text Capsule.

Stop by http://hubpages.com/_learn/hub/capsules for more info on that.

Also check out Squidoo vs HubPages. Which isn't about which one is better, but will quickly bring you up to speed on how to use HubPages by comparing the differences.
