0I'm not sure if this is the correct category to put this in, so I'm sorry if I put it in the wrong place.
I just wanted to thank my followers, especially those that have offered their words of support. For the last few weeks, HubPages is what kept my level of happiness up. Every time I logged in, I had a few new followers and maybe a kind comment or two, but I have come to realize today that this may not be the place for me.
Today I offered an opinion, possibly an opinion I should have kept to myself. And even though I felt that I made a valid point, obviously others did not. (Because you know, HP staff members should cater to your every whim and want even if it does go against their TOS *rolling eyes*)
I logged in five hours later to find a comment on my newest hub, a hub I wrote just for the heck of it. I wasn't really aiming for a masterpiece in literature (I mean, it was a RECIPE, for goodness' sake!) and I think the person knew this, but the comment was very rude and... it upset me.
So... I'm taking a break from HP. I have come to the realization that, if immature Hubbers who cannot handle someone disagreeing with their opinions are going to attack my writing, I'm too sensitive to be here right now.
Right, so if I come back, I may regret posting this, but I just wanted to thank my followers, the people who have been so helpful in the forums, and the people who have actually offered good debates in the forums.
Just watch, I'll probably be back in a few days or a week. There are so many here that really do inspire me, like Lyricsingray, for instance. But if I don't come back, I just wanted to thank everyone who welcomed me with open arms (Err, keyboards?) and let anyone who may wonder about me know what happened. Bye for now, everybody

i hope a nice break sorts you right out. It would be awful if you felt like leaving cuz of somebody else. Sorry I havent read your hubs yet, but Ive seen you (err all four of you) around..
you seem real nice and it would be a shame for you to leave. Good luck with whatever you choose to do

Firstly, I would like to note how extremely embarrassed I am that my break from HP only lasted two days.
Secondly, I'd like to thank everyone who replied here, especially Faybe. Faybe emailed me and pointed me in the direction of some fantastic hubs that really shed some light on how I was feeling. (Although, Faybe, I don't do the whole armpit fart thing
)
I'm still going to try to cut back on HP a bit, but I'll be around. I guess I've become one of those "forum lurkers" that will never just go away. And, of course, I can't just give up writing my hubs. I even got about three new ideas while I was gone! Anyway, my point is that you are stuck with me!

Suggestion: Open discussion for hubs!
I still think comments should be comments, not discussions, that is the purpose of a forum. Maybe it would be a good idea that every author has a forum automatically made in a widget on there profile page and the topics are always the title of the Hub. That way you can discuss it and always edit...
