I came across this site when I was looking up a duplicate content checker. I'm curious if it is real or has any true reasonings in it.
More or less in the sense of "When it comes to duplicate content, the search engines are not penalizing you or thinking that you're a spammer; they're simply trying to show some variety in their search results pages. "
Basically does that statement mean that the reason they don't really push or showcase duplicate content is because they're just trying to show the searcher all different points.. Something like that?
It all depends on how you define "penalize". Search engines just pick one page out of duplicates and show just that single page dropping the others. I don't know if that constitutes penalty to you or not
