Welcome to Hubpages and welcome to the 30 Day HubChallenge!   What a great way dive in!  The rules are found here:
    http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/17849

Regarding the amount of content...there are various opinions about it, but generally, most feel you should shoot for a minimum of 500-800 words, but 800 is better.  You should break your content down into at least 2-3 text capsules. Include 1 photo capsule and a couple of other capsules like news or links if you can.

After you have published your hub, you are allowed to post a link to it in this forum ONLY:  http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/18049

Good luck!  If you have any questions, holler at me!

      thank you!
I will take your advice. I've posted my second hub and plan to do two more today. At least one for sure. I will add the bells and whistles you suggested. Sounds like fun to me. I,m  looking forward to the personal challenge.

      Thanks again1

You might also want to download an avatar or photo for your profile.  The grayman profile is not doing it. smile  Give your readers someone/something to relate to.

As you can tell, the grayman doesn't even come over in the forums.  It just shows blank.  That screams "newbie"!

That was great information you shared with me. I will follow your suggestions. I am looking forward to this personal challenge and see what happens.

      Thanks Again!

    Hey hotfingers,

Welcome to HubPages and good luck on your 30 hubs in 30 days challenge.

Just to let you know, you do have 30 days, that means that as long as you put out one quality hub a day, you will reach the goal.

Now...do notice I said quality hub. It is not so much the quantity you write, but the quality of the hub has to be good.

I would suggest you take your time, make adjustments, read some hubs on making/writing hubs, I know Shadesbreath recently wrote an awesome hub about writing hubs.

Also, there is something called - The Extreme Hub Makeover Forum, which is a place to post a couple of links to hubs and have them critiqued by the community of writers. The veterans are very helpful and understand what it means to be new. Plus, you get great advice and not to mention, you get to know more of the people who do actively help out others.

    Have a great day!

Hello, Yesterday I posted my 30th hub in 30 days.

I am not sure if they qualify because I do not have any pictures and I have not yet found an avatar to replace my gray man image. But I just want to let you know I completed 30 quality hubs!

Now I will go in and fix a few affiliate linking problems and general house keeping.

It was a challenge and I am glad I tried it. I learned a lot about HubPages in the process.

Congrats on completing the 30 day challenge!  You qualify, but you're right in thinking that now it's time for the housekeeping.  Grab yourself an avatar, pop in some photos into your hubs and create some backlinks.

Welcome to HP, Bebe!  The challenge is a great way to jump right in!

In the future, post your hubs in the forum thread listed above in an earlier post of mine.  That is the only forum thread you should use for that.

          Good luck!
