Contact Information

    Good morning,

I know that this question is going to fly in the face of everything that everyone has been taught about internet security, but when I ask this, please keep in mind that I've been talking to people off the net through email, phone, and face-to-face contact for probably 20 years. Also, please keep in mind that I'm a Christian who ministers the Bible to people online. So, here's my question...

Are we allowed to put contact information in our profiles? Or is that against Hub rules?

You guys are always a big help to me, and I appreciate all of you. Thanks again in advance.

You can if you wish - but be aware that if you put an email address in your profile, it will probably get "scraped" by spammers.  That doesn't mean you'll get stalked, it just means your inbox will get clogged with spam emails about Viagra etc.

Also bear in mind that the more information you give out, the more likely it is that you'll be the subject of identity theft. Especially if your photo looks like a passport photo.

There are no rules against that.

I haven't seen any rules against it.

However I wouldn't recommend it, for the reasons that Marisa listed.

Instead, put a note on your profile that you can be contacted by clicking the "Contact ----" written right below your profile picture.
