Normally on a forum there is a way to private message another member, or a profile that has their email. I can't seem to find anything like that here.

So how do you contact another hubber here if you want to ask them something? hmm

Hey bill, simply visit their profile and select "Contact [USERNAME HERE]" and they will receive your question via email providing they have enabled this feature smile

      Hope this helps.

When you're on your own profile page logged on you can't see your own contact button... If you were to go to my profile page or view one of my hubs you would notice a contact katiem2 button below my profile picture along with the follow button click the contact button to contact that person via email.  smile

Note if your not logged in you can search your profile name and check out your own profile to see your contact button that way...

Wow Bill didn't we have a contact button on our profile page. I don't know whether it is because I just got out of bed, have rubbed my eyes twice, but I am certain mine is gone on my page.
    Very good question.

I don't see any contact button, at least not on the hubbers I want to contact. I do see a "ask so-and-so a question, but that is the public question button. Strange.

Yes apparently the hubber can choose whether to be contacted or not by allowing the button on their page.
I am unsure how you would go about it if it is not there.
Best luck I am off to have a feed, need some morning energy lol.

Morning!!! It's 6:10 PM here, you must be on the other side of the big pond. I'll figure out a way to contact them, thanks and enjoy your morning meal. smile

Upper line in the block with "ask..". Providing hubber in question wants to be contacted - one can disable it on profile settings smile

Ohhh ok, I see now. You have to enable the contact link. So hubbers that have none have decided to not let others contact them, bummer.

Ok then, move along, nothing to see here folks,,,, lol

    Something broken?

I have "Allow others to contact you" checked, but the option is not on my profile.

Contacting thyself through hubpages does not make much sense, so it is not there smile

Just press your index finger on that fleshy (indent or protruding) item on your abdomen entitled "Belly Button".

If you can feel anything, you're OK. smile

Some people in other forums have suggested as one way to contact another Hubber, that you post a comment to one of their Hubs, since so many of us have set our preferences to approve or deny comments.  If you post a comment to the effect that you would be interested in additional conversations with them, they could let you know how to do so, but then deny the comment so that it doesn't appear where others can see it.

Of course, there's always the danger that they might approve the comment, when you didn't really mean for them to.  So, if you want to try doing this, you need to come up with a comment that is both obscure and specific at the same time.  Or you could just ask outright - in a comment - "How may I contact you for further information or discussion about this?"

Thanks, but I was thinking of just leaving a fan mail post. That way they will get it but it only shows on their profile. So they can delete it later. Good suggestion however. smile

But fan mail does show for anyone to see.  I just went to your profile page and saw three fan mail entries.  If I had gone to other followers, I could have seen what they wrote too.

Yes, I mean it will only show on their profile, nowhere else. Both ways would work I agree. smile

Well yes, actually you can. Click on your account, then fan mail. You will see them all and a "deny" button to the right on it. smile

Maybe you should just respect their wishes and not contact them.

Yes I suppose that is what I should do. At first I just did not know how to contact anyone here. Now that I know I should leave alone anyone who has set their preferences to not show their contact button. smile

Many hubbers remove their contact button because they get too many people spamming them.

You can deny fan mail when you receive it, not sure about deleting it afterwards though, I am sure there is a way, just never tired it though!

*Edit* ust realised someone had answed this!
