This is merely an attempt to divert attention away from the negativity concerning the Amazon.com in California debacle.

My Stats are back, traffic sources, keywords, all of it.  I'm very happy about this.  Of course I'm also happy that Texas and Amazon.com. . . .are trying to work things out.

Please tell us all what you are HAPPY about in relation to Hubpages, and internet marketing today!

      congratulations that things are working.

I just passed 1000 views and that makes me happy.

Other reasons I am happy with hubpages:

I get to write about what interests me, instead of sites like Textbroker.
I have the last say about how my writing is published-not used to that.

I have gotten to read some great writing by people I never knew more than three weeks ago.

Everyone on the site  has been gracious and helpful to me

Hey - you just earned yourself a follower.  Of course I've been seeing you around a lot.

If you are interested - then look at my profile page for some decent suggestions for other sites that you can do this on.

Shetoldme. . . . .isn't the best looking site, but you can write short articles to promote you HP articles there, and run Adsense on your "scoops" as well.

Best Reviewer is owned by the same guy - and I get pretty good traffic from Best Reviewer - and of course both of those are "dofollow" backlinking sites that you can earn something on with adsense.

Info Barrel is very similar to Hubpages in some ways - but you don't get nearly so much traffic there, and you do not have the freedom that you have here.  It's a smaller community - but it's a GREAT and GROWING site.  I recommend it - but I like HP better.  on Info Barrel you can do Adsense, Amazon, and another ad program called Chikita.

I'm also a fan of blogger. . .and Ryankett and Sunforged both have good sites that I've accounts with. . . but need to get started doing something on.

My total hub views are rising rapidly, but adsense is not showing similar views. Think something might be broken there...

Yeah, I'm happy though with the diversification of HP now.  The HP ad program makes me something daily. . . whereas before it was not so.

I've never made more that $14/day from Adsense - of course I've not made more that .80 cents a day from the HP ad program, but with adsense I sometimes go . . .close to a week with nothing, so all in all, this is still the best site for me to spread my ideas, gain a fan base, and make money.

I'm all for branching out, and continue to work on that - but HP is "home."

So your stats aren't showing anything strange? Like hits on hubs that are not yet published.
I know I ran Scrapbook on my HP stats earlier, to back up my hubs to my hard drive, and have no idea if that would show hubs as getting hits or not, though I would have thought not. Even so, 2 or 3 hits each on (some) unpublished hubs is rather odd.

I just don't know?  I think most everyone is more hip to this game than I am.  I look at analytics sometimes. . . .and see some weird stuff there. . . .but I'm really more of a storyteller than a net literate user.

I was wondering the same thing. I ran a backup with scrapbook as well and I have a few unpublished hubs as well as a few that I deleted last night that are lingering with that polite blue line yet they are all showing traffic.  I wonder if it is the backup? I've never noticed this before.

If it's only happened to those of us who backed up hubs today, then it looks like the software did it.
My traffic levels are back to normal now anyway.

I'm getting sort of interested in this "scrapbook" thing.  Is that something set to private???

It sounds like a backlink to me, private or not.

It' simply something used to back up hubs, websites, etc to your computer should something happen to them. If you use Firefox you can just add it on and it will show up between your "bookmarks" and "tools" up at the top of the screen. Go to Tools, then Add Ons and type in Scrapbook and download it.

It's the easiest way I know of to back things up in case everything were to disappear. There's a bunch of YouTube videos that will take you through it step by step but it's REALLY easy. This way if one of my websites were to crash or if Hubpages suddenly disappeared, I have all my work backed up.

You have 228 hubs....please tell you back these up in some way! lol
                yikes

                  . . . .um. . . .uh. . . .ah. . . . er. . . . .I mean. . . .um. .. . I've backed nothing up!

It's going to save my links, my pics, my vids - all of it???????

Do yourself a giant favor and download the addon. Download Firefox too if you don't use it (I use Chrome).

Backup your hubs so that if HP goes tits up tomorrow, you still have copies.

whaat a great idea-- yes let's accentuate the positive.  Hubpages is my favorite online community and I love writing here.  I dip in and out but love that I can do real articles rather than "posts" on any topic I feel like writing about.

I've not been around much for the past year or so, but intend to spend more time here now and am so happy to see some familiar faces and lots of new great writers.  It's great to browse through lots of hubs on all sorts of subjects--a smorgasbord of words.

        Thank you VERY much!

Also, I think that the earnings potential on this site is actually. . . GETTING BETTER.

I also. . . . .know of NO OTHER site that is working so hard to improve as this one is!

I'm disappointed only in the HP authors that are being so negative.

Yes I agree, but I can empathise with people who have seen a large chunk of their income fall by the wayside- and it is frustrating that not so many people come to read, because for many of us that is what we want, people to read what we write.

Of course - but that was Google's bit of "work."  I like the feedback and conversation myself. . . .but I really need the money, and REALLY would like to be able to pay the bills with online income. . .I'm going to keep at it till it happens.

I don't really know what to say about my stuff. I am making a little more than what I made pre-Google Panda, BUT I have written a ton of content in the past six months which, since Panda, has been indexed and is starting to bring traffic.

That said, I am glad to see your earnings are starting to come in again. I am hoping that, as this starts working out for you, that some of my hubs pick up a bit faster.

Had I not published a lot of content, I would probably see just pennies roll in, so I wish I could say one way or another whether anything is changing for me.

    Congrats!

And thanks for staying positive, it's the positive people here on HubPages that keep others in the community happy and motivated -- not just to continue writing on HubPages, but happy and motivated in general. I always love posts like these.

      THANK YOU!

      I think I'm . . . .getting much better at this.

I think that the more someone writes - the better that they get at it, and the more they think of that they can write about, at least that's my experience.

Is something wrong with the Hubpages Ad Program or the stats? I usually earn something everyday and yesterday I had the most page views that I have ever received (I have only been here for 8 days). I received nearly 300 page views yesterday, and the stat says 0.00 earned. Is anyone else having this problem?

    1. danfresnourban profile image59
danfresnourbanposted 12 years agoin reply to this

Well, it says 0 because it its a new month, and yesterdays earnings show "pending" does the last day of the month usually take longer?

      1. Wesman Todd Shaw profile image82
Wesman Todd Shawposted 12 years agoin reply to this

Yes, then your "over the weekend " earnings all might not be there till Tuesday, but don't worry about it much - you're earning.

Nothing wrong with the HP ad program - it's just brand new and "glitchy."  You will be paid correctly - . . . .but on Mondays and first day o' any Month there's always a lag in the statistics.
