Can I cut and paste parts of my hubs on forums and on the comment sections of articles. Can I cut and paste info from other websites on forums and on the comment sections of articles.
Short answer - NO
Cutting and pasting parts of your hubs into forums and comment sections is SPAMMING and could get your account cancelled.

Probably the best thing to do is paraphrase what you have already written, or say something like, I wrote a hub about that. Then you can give the title of your hub, but NO link to it.
DO NOT add links to your hubs in comments or forums. Most people will delete comments with links in them.
...and links to your hubs are not allowed forum posts except in the "Extreme Makeover" forum.
HP doesn't like copied content, so you may well find your hubs being flagged, even though it is your own work you are copying.
The long answer is also NO. The other hubbers will clobber you.

I've come across a hub, now and then, without a comment section. Is this a choice made by the author? If so, why?

I have read quite a few hubs recently where people have been upset by disgusting or just plain rude comments directed at their work, mainly by anonymous hubbers with no content, and also stealing other peoples...
