I just commented in response to one of my hubs and I submitted the comment and then hit a link and returned and my long comment was gone!
So sad, I had not responded in 2 years and am trying to catch up.
That's too bad. I don't have any suggestion for you, but I know when this happens it is hard to swallow. Hope you don't lose anymore.
If that Hub is set so that the author must approve comments, your comment will disappear after you submit it and won't reappear until it is approved. That's a feature controlled by authors and it can vary from hub to hub.

Do you find that leaving comments and replying to them increases your stats, or does it take you away (time wise) from writing hubs?
