This evening I thought that I would check my Google AdSense earnings for something to do.

I almost fell off my chair when I discovered that I have made my first 49 cents Australian!

The best thing about it is that I came here to write and learn, not for the money. Bouyed by my financial success so far, I have also signed up for the HP and Amazon programmes.

My next goal - $0.59AUD in a month cool

You have great financial ambition my friend. For me I am bit more greedy than that. I want my HP earnings to be $10 per day, Adsense $10/day and Amazon $1,000,000,000 period.

      Does that make sense?

        Hi Cardisa!

They do say greed is good big_smile
I would not complain if I made more $$ here, but it is the experience and community that I joined HP for. If I make money along the way, that is just a bonus,

Hey, it's a great start! Especially since you've only been publishing for 2 months!

Let's not get too optimistic.  0.49 is one thing, 0.59 is quite another!

If you put up an avatar pic on your well written home page.. then they might not look at you sideways... have you noticed that your incognito image is that of a Man Helen? yikes

Even a Gaelic symbol - anything that helps people see that your personality is one worth noting positively. smile

Yup PD is right. You live in Ireland acc to your profile and therefore you shouldn't have a tough time getting approved. Try adding a picture of something reasonable maybe even one of your dishes (as I see you have lots of recipe hubs). That will surely help.

I remember my first 13p, I decided not to look again until I'd written 50 hubs..when I did look I'd made abotu £5.. then I left it another month or so and I'd got lucky and some of my hubs were snowballing.. the rest is history!
