   It can't, because what we practice is rarely perfect. Everyone has a different idea of what perfect is, so while the idea of perfect exists for us individually, it doesn't exist as a thing that applies to everyone.

   i don't think there is any standard to which we can all agree as being 'perfect'......it's a relative thing.
   practicing a certain thing makes you better at that thing, maybe better than other people doing the same thing, perhaps then you would be looked upon as being perfect in comparison....but the thing is that there is always room for improvement, there is never a time one can say--' this is it--i am now perfect at this''

   that is a rather awesome point, but who said that nothing is perfect, maybe they were a pesimist, as perfection is a mere matter of opinion, so if you deem it as perfect, it is perfect

   "Practice Makes Perfect" is simply an idiom which hopes to inspire work ethic and dedication in the listener. 
   
   As others have eloquently stated before me, perfection is simply an illusion, subject to the whims of those who strive to attain it.

   There is such a thing as "perfect" (not in the case of all things or even most things, but in the case of some things).  People just like to tell themselves, "Nothing is perfect," as a way of accepting whatever imperfection they must accept. In other words, "Nothing is perfect," only applies some of the time, and "Practice makes perfect," doesn't always apply in call cases either.

   Practice makes perfect...we have all heard it...particularly when we were in school.  My mom used to take the phrase a step further...Perfect practice make perfect play.  She was a soccer coach.  So practice can get us close to perfection as long as we practice correctly.

   practice increase one's skill and familiarity therefore increasing the degree of perfectness. nothing is ever totally perfect as whole. It can only be in relation to other things

   Perfection is only perfect when we agree that it is perfect.  One person's idea of perfection is another person's idea of imperfection.  True perfection is not achievable.  There is always someone better or faster or stronger than you.  That's why world records get broken all of the time (they will continue to get broken too). Basically, if you practice your heart out at something and became the best you can possibly be, then you have reached perfection for you.

    Nothing in the material world can be perfect.  But in the spiritual world, it's possible to transcend the material and to discover "perfection" of the soul.
