And are you going to watch it? Do you think it will have the same qualities of the previous one?

Will be a little longer for the sequel, more like in 2014

      http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1630029/

He will be producing the Fantastic Voyage remake and directing his new movie Battle Angel soon.

No worries, imdb is usually accurate, yet as fickle as Movie Studios are for changing release dates, it is a good site to check out often to get an idea.

      Cheers

Avatar is  being re-released in the theaters with several minutes of extra footage.  And the sequel will be out, I guess in 2014 and will feature the oceans of Pandora.

James Cameron had worked on Avatar since 1995, but at that time he was failed due to lack of technology.
Similarly he has worked a lot on his up coming movie...
    again a super movie...
    smile
definitely he will release in September

No matter when he releases a sequel, hopefully he will pay attention to story and not just focus on outdoing the visual imagery of the first.

As other's have mentioned it will be a re-release with additional footage, rumoured to be about 9 minutes. For me an extra 9 minutes is not enough to make me want to pay to watch it again.

As for the sequel well yes Cameron plans to take us to Pandora again, but rather than one sequel it could actually be two.
