What do give more of...your time or your money?

Volunteer, quality time with children or just donate because it's easier.......

Sadly, I have to say money to this, but only because I work 2 jobs, and as a result have no time to volunteer. Although I do join in with the school events and fundraisers for local charities when I can.

I'm the opposite of Sarah.  I give more time, because I have more of that.  If I had more money, I might be tempted to give more money than time, but I think that most causes do better,  with plenty of both.

I would love to balance it all out, but I'm not that organized. So for me it fluctuates between money and time, never really consistent. Well, I can't say that inconsistent cause I consistently do one or the other. Oh well, things can all ways change.

Whichever is required and I have it, that is what I will share..not give really..the word give establishes an artificial hierarchy...

I split it:  I donate $$ to no-kill animal shelters and Alzheimer's research.  I volunteer time with my town's beautification program and run a group that teaches creative writing.  The money might lead to more direct good, but the outlay of time is more satisfying.

I don't have much money, so I volunteer my time. That's actually better because I feel like I get so much more in return when I volunteer my time.

I give more of my money to family. I give more time to the Hubpages. I volunteer sometimes at church mostly. I think spending time with people is worth more.

I definitely volunteer more time than money. Although, I do give money when I know exactly where my hard earned money is going- March of Dimes, Big Brothers/ Big Sisters, church...etc.

I donate ten inches of my hair every two years to Locks of Love.

I get more out of giving something anonymously that I can never be paid back for- never do I expect a retribution for my time or money I volunteer and I try not to keep tabs.

Mostly time.  I feel like it's important to use my time for activities that I believe in, volunteering can really help make a difference.  Money is important too of course, but if there are no people willing to help out then nothing would get done!

A little bit of both.  I have one volunteer gig that I do about 4-5 times a year and it lasts about 2 hours each occurrence.  Then I have about 3-4 favorite local charities that I give to when able.

Since my fundage is limited, my time is the way I give back. Helping out when I can, making meals for those who need them, watching children that need care, taking care of the laundry for a family who needs it, donating canned food and used clohting to our church donor center.

I believe in giving to your community what you want out of it.. so I always choose to volunteer my time and spend quality time with my children and nieces and nephews over donating

I tend to volunteer my time more than money. This is partially because enjoy volunteering and partially because I don't have a ton of money to spare.

time.  when you give your money, you just give a part of yourself.  but when you give your time, you are giving your whole self.  Jesus did not have much material thing to offer when He was alive.  But He was always there when people needed Him.

Definitely time as I love helping people. I do donate to charities or causes I believe in, especially our vets who have sacrificed everything for us.

My money is limited right now, but if there is a need I can fill I am happy to help out.  I do some volunteer work at church and in the community as it always help keep things in perspective for me.
