   I recently read on another forum topic that Kontera is "a waste of space"- so I removed it. It claimed you have to have at least 1000 visitors to be worthy? Is this true r should I reactivate?
   Just curious as I am doubting my decision.

      You basically need A LOT of traffic to get a decent amount of return from Kontera, and it could affect the way that people view your pages/websites. A lot of people find Kontera and other contextual-pop-up ads very annoying.

   I believe that Relache is our resident Kontera expert. She says that you really need 100,000 visitors per month to get a decent return. I've read other Hubbers with varying views on the topic. Some (Sunforged I think) found that Kontera cannabilized his AdSense revenue with nowhere near the same returns, but I'm pretty sure thisisoli is having good luck with it.
   
   I simply trusted Relache's advice and stayed away from it.

   I decided just over a month ago to turn on Kontera, despite all the scary stories. I've found that some things just need to be tested yourself. Here's my stats:
   
   May (no kontera) $12 adsense.
   June (kontera enabled) $9 adsense - about $1 kontera.
   July (kontera enabled) $27 adsense - about $1 kontera.
   
   I am writing a lot and my hits vary widely but would say I get up to 25,000 views a month right now. As you can see one month was down and this month is way up. Of course I don't know what, if anything, either of those had to do with Kontera, but didn't earn much off kontera anyway. Over 100 kontera clicks for $2? Probably not worth it.
   
   But there's my facts. Make what you will of them!
   
   Edit: I think I might turn it off for August and see if that effects anything.

   This is Jonathan from Kontera. We've found with our publishers that Kontera doesn't really effect your AdSense revenue one way or the other. That's because Kontera and AdSense are displayed in completely different areas of a webpage, so click cannibalization isn't an issue. 
   
   What it does do is give you an additional revenue stream to your AdSense income. Additionally, because of the "banner blindness" where some people are so sick and tired of banner ads that they just stop noticing them completely, there's an entire segment of your site visitor's clicks that you'd miss out on without a AdSense alternative like Kontera. 
   
   Paula, while obviously your Kontera revenue will vary based on the scale of your traffic, there's no 1,000 site visitors minimum. Your earning will still roll over into the next month until you reach the $50 minimum payout threshold.
   
   I'd suggest giving Kontera another shot, what do you have to lose?

      Jonathan, would you mind explaining a bit about yourself. Is there a formal agreement between Kontera and HubPages concerning your position? It sounds very official. Yet, your profile page has no information.

   I've got Kontera running here and on a high traffic IT site I write for. I've yet to see anything to convince me that Kontera is worthwhile.
   
   I might keep it until I get to the minimum payout level, but that's going to take years at current earning levels.
   
   You're far better off looking at additional monetisation through ClickBank or similar schemes. ClickBank stuff sells very well here.

   I use Kontera on my hubpages and Searchwarp.
   
   I have found it to be very successful and does in fact provide an additional income stream.
   
   You just gotta love those Paypal payments.

   I am set to receive another payout from Kontera this month, earnings usually vary from $30 to $150 a month for me. 
   
   While I do think that Kontera can pay off, it is annoying how one day you can earn a decent amount ($0.10 - $2.00 a click) and other days it seems that every click is worth less than a cent each.
