I have to save capsule and hub. Reopen editor. Then type a little. Loose ability to edit. Resave capsule and hub. Repeat

I can never add text links via firefox.

One thread I started. I can't find the original. I still have problems with links in the text. I just have to use the link box.

Seems like each browser has its own set of problems. You have to use IE for your text and links. Then save unpublished and add the photos using firefox. I can never add photos using IE.  lol.

I don't ever have problems with IE; although, it's been a while since I've used IE for hubs. I just don't have that browser on my work computer. Firefox and Safari are the only two browsers on the work computer, and I do most of my hubs at work not at home.

I have problems with pictures, too, and it's soooo frustrating.  If I want to upload a picture, I have to add the capsule(s), which appear wrong, then save unpublished and then go back in to edit and they are fine - an extra two steps but annoying nonetheless...

The most annoying part is that it didn't used to be this way!  This started happening only a few months ago, but happens every single time now.

Ditto! I don't know what they changed or configured, but a ton of other issues evolved...

    Hi Whitney05,

I am trying to reproduce the text capsule issue on Firefox on a Mac and each time everything works fine for me.  I am able to use the editor for a long time and I have no problem adding links to the text capsule.

Could you check the version of Firefox that you are using and also let me know if there are any bugs that you get every time.

Once I can reproduce it, I can let you know what's up.

    Thanks,

    -Larry

I just finished a hub using firefox, had no problems. I use 3.6.6  I've always been able to add links with no problems.

Whitney, do you have the google toolbar or another of the google tools, like gears enabled? Sometimes they can cause a bunch of bologna with Firefox. If so, try disabling it.

I keep them disabled on Firefox now and if I need to, I'll just use that other browser for those features.

Larry, it's the newest version, I believe.

    ProCW, no toolbars.

whitney, you can check the version by clicking on Help in the toolbar and click on About.

I don't have 'about' in the help drop down in the toolbar, but I did check for updates, and there weren't any.

Edit: my about was in the 'Firefox' dropdown. I'm running 3.6.8

Yes, that's the same version that I used for my test.  I'll keep trying to reproduce the problem.

Whitney, I noticed the last few days when I opened Firefox that there were new updates to install.  Did you get the same message? I always skip the yahoo tool bar update, but use the rest.

I haven't been able to edit ANY of my hubs for the past couple of days now.

Was wondering if it's because i've been trying to improve the writing of my first hubs at HP, hence been doing quite a bit of editing.

A bit worried about it. Hoping i'm not doing something wrong.

When i open the hub in edit mode, it keeps telling me to reload. When i do, a blank page keeps appearing.

I normally use firefox. But tried with IE. Same thing happens.

      Hi Viryabo,

I just tried edit mode on one of your hubs and it worked fine for me using Firefox 3.6.8.

Are you still having the problem?  Did you make sure to do a shift+refresh (holding the shift-key down when you click the refresh button with the mouse) to clear out the cache?
