    Hi all,

I have searched around and can't seem to find a simple answer.  How do I post a link on my profile which encourages others to "join" Hubpages?  Of course, I would like to post it in such a way that I get "credit" for their joining and writing.  I assume I must put in some sort of "tracker" but I don't know how.  sad

    Any help?

    Thanks!

    Jason

    Susan,

Sorry.  After posting the question I tried 1 more time to understand the process...and I think I've got it now.  Again, I apologize for the inconvenience.

It's no problem smile It's easy to do but quite lengthy to explain, so it makes more sense to just write it all in a hub and then post the link when someone asks. I'm glad you worked it out!

Im glad you got the answer..but, I wonder about your "search"

I copied the title of your post - stuck it in the search box right up there above us

    http://hubpages.com/search/how+to+add+a … my+profile

    the very first result...

    says:

How can I add the join Hubpages link to my page?

and the answer: is well written:

    soni2006 says:

It is very simple. For adding join hubpages link to your profile or anywhere you want, remove "uniquesense" from the link below and replace it with your default tracking token available in your "my account" - "URL trackers" of your hubpages account:

    hubpages.com/_uniquesense/user/new

For example, my default tracking token is "3e18e2wvz8nn9". Again if you are not able to understand well, I will make it simple.

Click "my account" while logged on into your hubpages account, then click "URL Trackers" tab beneath the Affiliate Settings tab and copy your default tracking token and replace it in the link above, for example:

    hubpages.com/_3e18e2wvz8nn9/user/new

Like this. Okay. Best of luck for referring your friends and relatives to hubpages.

I added this here, mostly for the benefit of the next person who asks the question - then we can undeniably say - "search the forum"

I will admit, it is the only "tricky" tracker to make, because you cant access the sign up page when logged in.

          thank yoOo...smile

p.s. is there any reason we can't put this link at the bottom of every hub? just curious...

the issue wasnt an underscore - the link was to your profile and you added on a link to the sign up page also

and no reason not to add it to every page if you so desired 225 hubs is a lot to edit - i would aim only for hubs that are about writing or making money online - as they would be the users most likely to ever write

What is "new" at the end of the URL stands for?  Do you just write "new" or replaces it with title of your hub?
