RIP 9/11, RIP Bosnia and Hersik, RIP Jerusalem,RIP Quana and Beirut, RIP Baghdad, RIP Holocaust victims ... and all innocent souls

(if anyone slays a human being – unless it be [in punishment] for murder or for spreading corruption on earth – it shall be as though he had slain all mankind; whereas, if anyone saves a life, it shall be as though he had saved the of all mankind)
    [Quran 5:32]

The acts of 9/11 were a perversion of the Islamic religion, ...just like the Crusades or the Holocaust were perversions of Christianity. I Am a Muslim, I denounce it!

So, before burning a Quran, let's take a look at some of the contents of this book you intented to burn:

Jesus peace be upon him was mentioned in Quran (25 times), the word "Messiah" was mentoined 10 times, V. Mary PBUH (33 times),Moses PBUH (129times), Mohammed PBUH (4 times).

Did u know one of the biggest chapters is named after the family of V.Mary...(Al-Imran 29 pages) &  another named  (Mary, Mariam in Arabic) (7 pages) that dignifies V. Mary over all women of all time?

((We gave Moses the Book and followed him up with a succession of apostles; We gave Jesus the son of Mary Clear (Signs) and strengthened him with the holy spirit. Is it that whenever there comes to you an apostle with what ye yourselves desire not, ye are puffed up with pride?- Some ye called impostors, and others ye slay! ))
    [Quran 2:87]

((And when the angels said: O Marium (Mary)! surely Allah has chosen you and purified you and chosen you above the women of of the world.))
    [Quran 3:42]

((When the angels said: O Mariam (Mary), surely Allah gives you good news with a Word from Him (of one) whose name is the '. Messiah, Isa (Jesus) son of Mariam, worthy of regard in this world and the hereafter and of those who are made near (to Allah).))
    [Quran 3:45]

We Muslims believe and respect all the prophets and messenger and beleive that they are human beings and God's messengers.

Now imagine that it was a Muslim that declared he's going to burn the bible....would the world consider it his right ? And no Muslims should ever do that, of course!.

I wouldn't personally burn a Quran and I see no point to it, but if the Quran burning guy went out and bought a bunch of Qurans in order to burn them, they are his property and we have no right to stop him. (Unless he bought so many that he needed a bonfire permit, in which case we can deny him the permit, which we did.)

But free speech is there to protect offensive speech, not speech that everyone agrees with. Speech that everyone agrees with doesn't need protecting.

here's something I read...I know it is not the nicest thing to say but we are all equal:

(Casualties for the 9/11 attacks were 2,996 people
Casualties for the Afghanistan war: between 10,960 and 49,600 people and ongoing
Casualties for the Iraq war: 62,570 to 1,124,000 people and ongoing

makes you wonder who should be mourning their losses,or is American life more valuable than all others?)

Stats are harder to ignore...but the world media always creates its own stats & that is sad...

This is completely disgusting. You brought this up on 9/11 why? It is muslims like you that give muslims a bad name. Hiding behind "I denounce it..." Sickening.

What? Who wanted to burn a Quran on 9/11? I'm sure it is not me! And we should remember all victims of terrorism in palestine, Iraq, USA, Afghanistan....not only 9/11 !

I don't have to hide behind "i denounce it" because everyone had suffered from terrorism...I'm bringing this because someone wanted to burn Quran on 9/11...I'm bringing this on 9/11 because on 9/11 the media is repeating the scene again and again with some people linking it to Islam...! I'm bringing this on because no one should be allowed to USE 9/11 to serve their own purposes to declare war or teach hate and Islamophobia.

No one else needs to. You're doing a fine job of it on your own.

Today is a day where Americans remember and pay tribute to the victims of 9/11. It's not about politics and it's not about religion. Don't confuse the two or demean what happened to OUR citizens.

Well said, Mizo.  The hatemongrs want to control the dialoge about September 11 and claim it exists ONLY as they want to celebrate it. That's a party with hate and fear insted of cake and ice cream.

September 11 was ab American tragedy with global repercussions, and you ARE entitled to comment from a Muslim perspective. There were, after all, Muslim victims.

It's my hope as the dialoge continues that American moderates will reject the message of the fringe - and I do hope you will continue with your message. Bu you can expect attacks.

I'm glad the Quran burning didn't happen after all. It is, after all, a holy book to many people.

As a Christian, the Quran is not MY holy book. But there are similarities, from what I understand. We believe in the same God, but we call him by different names.

Personally, I'd much rather concentrate on what unites us than on what divides us. Especially on this day of remembrance in America.

lrohner, with all do respect, sir, you have no right question my intentions at all. I respect your feelings and everyone else's and I'm not here to irritate you.

If you would just read the beginning of my first post, I didn't mean to hurt anyone, all I wanted to say is that we are with you, we denounce it .we also suffered from it...and as Doug Hughes said, I have to talk, ...and 9/11 had its global effects on US (Muslims) too...the thousands killed in Afghanistan and Iraq, not to mention the hate crimes against muslims in the united states

You said :(Today is a day where Americans remember and pay tribute to the victims of 9/11. It's not about politics and it's not about religion)

Are you sure it is not about politics? Because YOUR media think it is.
9/11 Happened to All of Us.

    Doug Hughes: thanks alot.

"it shall be as though he had slain all mankind; "
