Family are terribly excited, not only do we have Sven Goran Ericsson but now the rumour is that we might have Beckham- not sure our shops are up to Posh's taste but we have good access to London.

Suggesting this is a pipe dream but do others agree.

Not a football fan at all (Tigers till I die!)

But it is always good to say hello to a fellow Leicestershire resident!

      So Hello!

David Beckham would likely be a good player for Leicester in the Championship, but certainly not good enough for the Premiership now; so about his level really as long as you don't pay him too much.

David James has been shown up as decidedly average for Bristol City in that league, despite people in football showing suprise at his decision to drop down a level. Edgar Davids has been awful for Crystal Palace at 37.

You might get a great season out of him, but I wouldn't expect a world beater. The MLS is Championship standard at best and he hasn't exactly set the world alight there.

Sorry to pee on your bonfire, I would be more excited about the signings of Kyle Naughton and Curtis Davies - both good enough to play Prem football.

As a Norwich fan, in the same division as you, I would rather we signed a great young prospect like Naughton than a hyped up superstar who might unsettle the dressing room.

It would be good for the league though, would put a couple of thousand on the attendances not only at Leicester but also for most other teams when they play Leicester at their grounds (although at Norwich, we pretty much sell out every game anyway).

jusst watched the news and Mr B says he wants to play for England again- iguess you would disagree.

Apparently they are going to increase the capacity of the Walkers so maybe the rumours are true(?)

Would be an incredible signing for leicester if it came off. I think he'd be excellent in the championship. He'd be worth signing for the revenue he'd create alone.

I can't really see it unless Leicester has got a lot of tattoo parlours and PR opportunities.

I'm a Leicester fan but sadly this looks dead in the water. I'm pretty sure Sven would love him to come but I don't think he would make the move himself sadly.

I agree with the poster from Norwich though, Davies and Naughton are both excelent signings and very exciting and its good to see we seem to have turned the corner after a very indifferent start to the season under Sousa

Beckham at Leicester? No chance! I'm sure Posh would have a lot to say before Becks made any decision. A great place for curries though ... Does he like curries?
