I need help with shameless self promotion

   So I started a page on Facebook and I thought I would be able to send out a thrilling announcement with the url to the people in my fan/follower base (I went to a lot of trouble figuring out how to get the neat and tidy facebook.com/shadesbreath thingy URL that doesn't have all the numbers and "/this" and "/that" stuff on it--trust me, that was like learning advanced brain surgery for me). And now my plan for being a total slimeball and sending out an announcement is failing. 
   
   I swear I saw a button for that somewhere on our profiles, but I can't find it anywhere. Didn't there used to be a "tell your friends" thing?  What am I missing?

                  I don't have ninja skills, so I'm trying blunt force with humor padding the gratuitousness of it.  Kinda curious to see how it works out in the next day or two with this post, a hub and the help of people like you.  The world is sure different than it was only a decade back.

   You've got me.  I have a page on FB myself for my Etsy shop...and FB makes it doggoned hard to even FIND your own page again!
   
   I usually have to go through ALL my 'notes' and 'boxes' and it turns up at near the tail-end of over 200 posts of various types, not all relevant to my 'page.'
   
   I finally got smart and saved it in a folder unto itself in my favorites on IE.  However, I rarely use it or visit, so in the end I wasted my time.  LOL

   I sent it to about 30 people on my Facebook friends list, and 90% of them are Hubbers.
   
   If you're on my friends list, then you might have an invitation waiting for you to join Shadesbreath's page.

            Right, I probably will, at least for ones I like.  But for that to help spread the joy of my awesomeness and stuff, I need people to have liked it.  LOL.  I think I'll have to try the share a hub strategy and just write a shamelessly self promoting hub touting the benefits of ME and gratuitously pointing at the Shadesbreath bridal suite of Facebook like the whore I have become. (sigh).  How'd you get all those people on yours? lol
