Through mere solace one can interpret a much higher calling intact;
A moment that can leave one thinking of inner peace;
The concept of a beautiful tranquil clearing of the view of the existentialist,
In understanding one's world view choices,
A poetic view can bring on true passionate type of meaning,
It strictly will depend upon the inner hearing;
The visualization of symbolism and inner chosen style dialogue,
Such as the Willow tree can be just that a thought by which one can react;
For that we can view a vast opened door by which one can richly explore,
Critics will come and go in life but it's not solely based upon their initial reaction ?
Stay attentive to your own unique style,
Filter out the many distractions that may succumb the hurt;
Although in positive reinforcement the poet can see the light ahead !
You gat more with sugar then you do with salt;
It's better then joining up with some so called cult.
With HubPages the poet initially can have a very positive outlook in focus !
Hubpages is brilliant in their view the way they give the average poet like myself a voice that can be heard throughout the mass population,
We can't get away from all the trials that may come our way in life ?
Yet for the poet in question, they can address the specific issue in a most positive light for a the world to see !
Very nice. Yes, HubPages is pretty cool. Poetry fans should rejoice that poets have a new way to reach their fans.
Rejoice, indeed!
For inspiration we read
The lines of other poets.
Pearldiver, get real --
HubPages is not a deal
For poets to get rich.
With words we play,
Looking forward to each day
Money has nothing to do with it.
Shall we say he was simply positively amused
At the intimation of falseness on his part
How sad that some so blind have such grandiose views
For only poor vision could call Pearldiver not real of heart.
This is elegant, Pearldiver. The man has soul. A man of many talents! You antipodean wonder, you.
Why Rejoice??
We can just run our own sites for poetry and get a more direct connection with our readers
It works the same way as publishing e-books on unique subjects like - Elephant Taming or How to Spot people with Stage 5 Acne!
This is a Commercial Web Site!
Don't Be fooled into believing otherwise!
In that regard Poetry is not generally a Viable Commercial Product!
You can do better by writing on the benefits of buying pink spoons than writing creative poetry!
Sorry... don't mean to burst anyone's bubble, but that is a fact!
Welcome BTW.
I agree with you Pearldiver, writing and placing poetry on Hubpages is not going to make any poet money on here. However writing about widgets, how to's and teaching videos, etc etc. will definitely produce income for those who are here for the commercial benefits and I applaud those who simply want to write for commercial and monetary reasons.
However there are some of us who simply want to write for the pleasure of writing, whether it be poetry, short stories or articles. I certainly maintain my own website outside of Hubpages with links for writers to enjoy. If I wanted to treat Hubpages only as a commercial site then I would write only commercial hubs. So it's exciting for that Hubpages offers both. But most certainly they are a business and they make their living from Ad Sense and that's makes sense to them:-)
Wow... thanks for the optimism guys! Not everything is about money. Even if 10 more people get exposed to poetry via HubPages when they otherwise would not, then that is a good thing.
So glad to read your comment, Roti. I agree wholeheartedly.
Thank you Saddlerider 1 perhaps too direct for heady daze!
This was Not a Negative remark - merely an honest observation borne of digging coal at the coalface!
@roti... you are quite right... poetry exposure is great.. but not so great when LOST among the pink spoons in the bottom drawer. However, in saying that.. we have some awesome poets here and the quality of their work ensures that many do read their poetry Before finding the spoons
Well,like this writer I put my poetry here because I like writing and in 2 months i have had 2,500 page views.I don't want ads.I am just happy to have a way to let others from all over the world share my thoughts.And I love to read theirs such as this one above.
Let those who like gold earn their way...
making some one who counts gold happy...
there are enough who want gold to seek gold if they try...
making dear Hub pages happy...
though window dressing and furnishings too..
do make a house comely outside its foundations...
so those who write here for pleasure and passion...
find ourselves useful in fashion...
enough perchance to see ourselves marked...
as those who plug those who love pink spoons in the dark.
Thank you for your kind words and sentiment alike,
You have shown me that an average Joe like myself can have a voice,
Instead of being harsh as a critic,
You have chosen to be an optimist,
In light of deception you gave me a voice,
You are what I write for an audience in which to enjoy !
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
Poet ( Mario William Vitale)
Pink spoons, Roti? I don't understand the analogy.

I've been here for just over 7 months. It's a truly great site and a wonderful community of people. What' I've found deeply frustrating and what I've noticed is a source of deep frustration for other writers, is the lack effective and motivating performance feedback. And by definition, this doesn't...

How much average visitors do you get for your poems on Hubpages? Is the traffic from Search Engines?

I'm sure only a few of you remember when HubPages had a few passionate poets. We even had an unofficial official HubPages poet named Drax. A revolutionary named Idunn - who was mostly poet. A painter, essayist, and poet called Misfit that was one of my favorites. And a...

Do you think only living in rural and rustic places makes poetsmore competent than those living in urban?
