Here's an idea or two...
We all know that Hubpages have automatic flaggers that points out substandard hubs, "overly promotional", and so on.
What if there's a feature where a hubber can request review, either "peer review" or "hubmaster" review (i.e. review by Hubpages staff) for a new hub that triggered this flag?
It would be nice to include a field where the hubber can write an explanation for review ASAP.
Clearly, peer review are only open to hubbers with a certain high score, perhaps... hubberscore of 90+? Or specially vetted "community hubmasters"?
To prevent abuse of this feature (esp. hubmaster review), appeal can only be issued once every week, maybe? And perhaps only if your hubberscore is over 50? 60? 75?
There will be a PENALTY if the request of review was "denied" (similar to NFL video review). Idea would be... hmmm. Drop your hubscore by 5 to 10 points? Inability to publish another hub for 3-7 days? Drop your hubscore to 75 for 72 hours? I dunno... ideas?
Rephrased Version
If a hubber got one of the new hubs automatically flagged "overly promotional", "low quality", or such offense...
IDEA a) a dialog box to file an "appeal" directly to the moderator(s) if the hubber believe it was a mere misunderstanding. However, if the hubber subsequently LOSES the appeal, there will be a significant reduction in hubscore or some other penalty (to be determined), for wasting the moderator's time.
IDEA b) flag the hub to a special community within Hubpages to be seen only by hubbers (maybe hubscore over 90? or special badge?) for PRIVATE feedback, perhaps done before it is resubmitted to a) for appeal.
Hubbers can FLAG a hub for review by moderators already and give an explanation. So, this is moot.
Flag my OWN hub for review? That's a new one...
You could if you think it warrants it, however, if you think your own hub is in violation, then why would you publish it to begin with.
If you're that insecure about your own hubs, then why not ask admin before you publish on the specific topic. The flagging would then not be needed.
The admin is already overwhelmed by the number of flagged hubs for review, which is done by thousands of other hubbers.
Just a thought.
What he/she means Cagsil, is an improved system for communicating with the Hubpages team after her own hubs have been flagged for some reason or another. E.g. overly promotional, poor quality, etc.
What he/she probably doesn't appreciate is that a Hubpages team member already does review it before ads are disabled or hubs are unpublished anyway.
That isn't how it came across to me, but okay.
Don't worry, it took me a whole to decipher it, but basically I took:
"What if there's a feature where a hubber can request review, either "peer review" or "hubmaster" review (i.e. review by Hubpages staff) for a new hub that triggered this flag?"
And translated it into:
"What if there could be a feature which enables us to request a peer review or staff review when we have one of our hubs flagged"
But, what he/she fails to understand is that the Hubpages team already review a Hubpage before removing ads or unpublishing, so the point is mute anyway. He/she is effectively saying that they can't be ar*sed to email Maddie like the rest of us.

If I may be so bold as to make a request of HubPages, I would like you to please re-examine at this time your decision to ban Jerrico Usher from the Hub Forums. He has proven himself to be quite mindful of the mistake he made before and seems to me to be waaay to smart to make the same mistake...
