Who can explain to me how Hubpages grade their scores on an article or poem. The scores seem to be dancing around each day yet am completely amiss at how they arrive at their score per article/poem. Can someone please explain!!
First of all welcome to hubpages. Read this link for more clarification.

What is baffling and frustrating me to no end is a few months ago the starting scores changed. Previously no hub started under 50 everyone was equal now based on a few obvious variables we are starting at 46??????????!!!! Which is why when we publish our author scores drop so much until 3days later and it rises even higher
Just don't find the logic in starting scores of maybe it can be explained why it changed
No one knows exactly. All I can tell you is if you keep receiving consistent traffic for an article/poem, the score goes all the way up to 100. This will require hundreds of views every day.
I was wondering about the reasons for the profile scores to fluctuate so drastically myself. But, I have learnt that is linked to the amount of traffic your hub is attracting.

This doesn't make sense. My article "Gardening for Beginners: 10 Easy Steps to Sowing Seeds which currently ranks in fourth place (despite all the deranking) for "How to Sow Seeds" has had its title changed to "How to Sow Seeds( Plus A Definition)". I'll change it back when...

It has been a few years since I've been on HubPages. Wow! It has changed. Years ago, people could post just about anything, click publish and that was about it. The rules have become much more strict, and now it looks like HubPages stresses quality over quantity. I love the changes, but want to be...

Just amazing--sitting at an 80--publish a hub and drop to 67.This place is really starting to suck jelly beans. I knew there was a good reason I had started writing elsewhere. Hmm, I have clients praising my writing up and down and paying me anywhere from 28-60 dollars an hour, and here where I...
