I'm completely new to this and just looking and asking around for advice. I honestly just picked a couple subjects I could write quite a bit about and put my heart into them. I didn't go way into detail but kept it short and sweet. Hopefully I can get some input on whether or not my Hubs are even attractive? Do they keep you interested?
I read about hot dogs.
The first couple of paragraphs are very personal and could be re-written. I would be concerned about a ding from HP just because of them.
The rest of the hub is very informative and interesting, and it might add even more if you could re-do those first couple of paragraphs into little more than a sentence or two that you have a hot dog. Then mix the rest of those paragraphs into the information you give later as personal experience with particular aspects of the breed.
By doing this you not only give the information (as you already do) but have at least some authority to go with it from your own experience.
You might break the hub into a couple more text capsules as well - it will probably read better and you can spread the photos out a little more. Does Amazon have products aimed at weiner dogs? You might discuss something special they need and throw in an amazon product or two (if you have an account, anyway)
You might study up on the subject of keywords as well, and how to use them. I doubt you will get much traffic with the title you have chosen.
I read the dog one.
The intro doesn't quite do it for me. It's too wordy. IMHO. You should just go straight into "I have this breed as pet and why you should too" and later, explain why this may not be quite right for some people.
Pictures look a little fuzzy, but adequate. However, you put ads ... (EDIT: PICTURES!) into the "golden spot", to the right of the first paragraph. That's generally a BAD IDEA.
Sounds like you used a SINGLE text capsule. Try use a bit more.
You mean photos into the "golden spot", and you're right. That area needs reserved for google ads.
Judicious splitting of the hub into multiple text capsules can leave this area free for ads; preview it to make sure the ads will fit.
Nice hub on the one new to pregnancy. Might want to add a few more tags. Nicely written! A fan
What, Hubs can't be "personal"? What does that mean? Some of mine are very personal, does that mean they could get deleted? What's a ding?
I have seen hubs that are no more than a daily diary. "I got up at 7AM and had corn flakes for breakfast, then got dressed. I put on my shoes and walked to the bus stop but it was late so I took the train". On and on for hundreds of words.
That is too personal.
HP has a definition to the effect that if no one but your friends and family are interested it is too personal.
If it is too personal HP will unpublish it.

So I tossed up a couple for pure comedy. Pretty funny stuff. I'd be rolling laughing if I read them...... and I get some comments like "Very useful information."Haha... I guess people are just hitting and making comments in an attempt to either get more followers or raise...

Sometimes a certain topic only takes a single image and a couple paragraphs to satisfy an online search inquiry . Any text beyond that would be redundant filler. This is a major conflict with the search friendly Hub guidelines.Do brief articles ever get beyond the Hub community??...One thought on...

This might be a complete co-incidence, but I switched to the new profile a couple of days ago, and today Google is pretending it doesn't know me. Hubs that ranked on the first page for main keyword are not found in the first 10 pages. Even more worrying, I can't find them in Google even...

A very kind soul noticed a month ago that I need to learn how to break up my text with photos or something between the paragraphs when my text is long. She explained how to do it. I tried and couldn't grasp it. Then I misplaced or accidentally deleted her email -- so I haven't...

I seem to have come to HP just before all the changes. I have put in almost F/T hours on the days I write my hubs. I've read whole books, not only the ones I review, but for material for my hubs. I think what I write is well written and informative. I kept hoping as I got more readers, the money...

I have two hubs up so far. I am not entirely sure what a great ranking would be considering that they are quite new, but they are both above 60. Is this pretty good for newly established hubs? I would appreciate any feedback on my work and what can be done to improve for the future, as well as...
