We met in highschool. I joined the military then we started dating. She stuck with me through multiple deployments. We got married and have been together for 2 years 9 months of which I was once again deployed.

Havent met my spouse yet (as far as I know), but I'm sure I'll meet her when she breaks into my house while I'm asleep. Because people keep saying I'll meet her when I'm least expecting it.

I (an atheist) was drug to a church Thanksgiving dinner by a friend where I met my better half.  I left the area for two weeks around Christmas and, without ever having a date, we married February 4th.

We celebrated our 35 anniversary this year and will be formally renewing our vows in a couple of weeks.

I met my beautiful bride at work. We were in the break room where she caught me looking her up and down. She called me a dirty old man (I'm 22 years older than her) and I just looked at her and said, "Darlin', you have no idea." Her mouth dropped open and she went back to work.

She left the company several months later but started emailing me about a year later. We started dating and have been married now for 15 months and I recently adopted her son.

    Which one?

I met the first one at a Halloween parade down Polk Street in San Francisco.  I was his third wife, he was some 40 years older than I was, and his children all hated me.  He was bisexual and we had what might be called an "Open Marriage" for eight years when he suffered a massive stroke and passed away a few days later.

Met the second one at an Open House.  He was trying his hand at selling real estate and I was doing interior design.  I thought it was a match made in heaven.  He apparently thought he had found the goose with the golden eggs. I spent a small fortune on this one.  He enjoyed the good life and liked to gamble, but it was all on my dime and the money that the first one left me.

I was at the Grand National Rodeo in Daly City when I met number three.  After several years with this Mr. Country/Folk/Western-singer-songwriter-Wannabe who couldn't figure out if he was a cowboy or a biker, I finally ditched him along the side of the road when he tossed our baby girl across the trailer in a fit of rage.  Unfortunately, she's just like him, has his miserable temperment, and has been a howling banshee since the day she was born.  Oh yeah, did I mention that he was a complete Donovan freak and actually named our daughter Sunshine Came Softly?  Duh!

Number four was at a figure drawing class I was taking at a local community college. I was trying very hard to get over number three at the time.  I can't remember exactly how long I was with this one but it was long enough to have another daughter and for his brother to molest my girls, so obviously it was too long.

Number five was on ebay.  I lost a bid on something he was selling at the time, so I contacted him to see if he had another.  He had a very charming, flirty personality, one thing lead to another and I wasted five years with that internet porn addicted, womanizing, cheating, abusive alcholic. It seems to me we spent our whole time together going to some sort of counseling, rehab, therapy, or whatever else it took to try to have some kind of normal life. But his drinking, mood swings, temper tantrums, and constant lies and deceptions eventually overwhelmed me and I finally just gave up on the whole deal earlier this year.

I met him at a state park when I was 17. For five years we were friends, but went our seperate ways. He went into the army and I did a bunch of stupid things. After I had my first daughter and left her father, and he returned home, we ended up dating. Three months later, pregnant with daughter number two, we got married and will be celebrating our 12th anniversary this October.

It was a dark and stormy night...lol, not really! big_smile

We met in the roughest bar in town...but it had the best music, so everyone went there.  It was one of those "eyes met across the room" thing.  We went out for coffee, talked until dawn, then a few hours later went on a date to the beach with my two kids I have from a previous marriage.

Two weeks later, he proposed...six weeks from then, we were married. Nine months after that, our son was born.

In 2 1/2 weeks, we will celebrate our 23rd anniversary, and I've loved every moment of my life with him! smile
