I've done a lot of stuff already myself (keywords, backlinks, etc), but I'm still not getting much traffic (less than 30 hits a day). I have topics that people search a lot with little competition as well. What else can I do to SEO my website - <snipped promotional link> - and my hubs?
Thanks for the suggestions.
Also, does anyone know of tools such as WPromote that are less than 75 dollars a month?
Hey JTyler, You have some great hubs and your subdomain is a PR3 site already to which is impressive.
One observation I have about your hubs is that your titles seem a bit short. I think you would get more traffic if the titles were more specific and focused on what someone might type when they are searching.
For example Instead of "Using Garlic" which has 116 million hits on Google you could do "Using Garlic to Lower Blood Pressure" which has 2 Million results and would be far easier to rank for.
Thanks. I'll get started on that. What exactly is a PR3 site, and are you saying that jtyler.hubpages.com is a PR3 site, or that <my site> is?
It means that Google has assigned the site a page rank of 3. The page rank scale goes from 0-10 with 10 being the best. (cnn.com is a PR10 site) Not all sites are assigned a page rank by Google. If a site is not ranked yet it will show a rank of "NA".
I checked your subdomain jtyler.hubpages.com using PR checker to find your ranking.

<your site> is currently PR0, so in Google's eyes your articles on HubPages might have more authority than on your web site.
There are lots of other factors that affect how much Google values your content, page rank is one indicator though.
Well in my opinion it is because HubPages did not switch to sub domains all that long ago. So Google must be seeing something they like regarding your content.
HP founder Paul Edmondson's subdomain is PR3 as well.

Some of your article topics will likely require some real solid SEO as well as time. I wrote tons of articles for one of my websites about 4 months back that were good, but I just wasn't ranking for any of the keywords I thought I might be able to. Just recently I started getting some traffic to them and realized that I had suddenly made it to the top 100 results - after some more link building and a little more time I'm on the first page for almost all of them.
What kind of link building are you doing? I have quite a few good articles that I've posted here on Hubpages to help with link building and a couple other important areas.
What is WPromote? I know a few memberships you can sign up for that are pretty useful but I'm not sure what WPromote offers.
I've submitted my website to a few directories, linked to all of my articles and websites with Redgage, linked all of my redgage links with my website, and linked to my website in all of my articles.
WPromote is a service that basically promotes your website and brings it up in the search engines. It does everything for you. It is a bit expensive ($150 a month),
Well it sounds like you are on the right track. You probably need to try to reach out to other domains to get yourself a larger amount of one-way external links pointing directly to your articles. If you link your hubs to your website and then link your website to your hubs, it gets rid of some of the positive aspects on both ends of the string.
Is Redgage an RSS feed service? or some sort of social bookmarking?
Since my "promotional link" has been removed, you'll have to get the link to my website off of my profile. I had to make a reply here since I can't edit my original post.

My new experiment:http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/8289is looking better every day, and in fact I am trying to figure out ways to help as many Huber’s as possible in this path so I decided I'm going to develop my site in a way that gives authors some link juice (and this site will get massive...

I've been on here for a few years, and I guess I never really understood the point of these scores. They don't seem to provide any real value to the user and I can't convince myself that they add value because they fluctuate so much. What's the point? Am I supposed to use these scores to tell me...

Since I joined HP there has been a constant battle against the rise and fall of traffic. We are often encouraged to tune our titles, edit our content and generally try to improve our Hubs. Now with the threat of having Hubs unfeatured, as well as the new quality assessment process taking place...

I heard many times about promoting your hub, and making it SEO friendly or SEO optimized. How to do that exactly? And what to do?
