My apologies if this has been mentioned before, but I can't see any recent threads about this so thought I would ask the question. I have noticed for some weeks now that very often when I go into My Account and look at the stats, the slideshow views for 'today' and 'ever' are simply not there. Another time I will go in and they are both there. This seems to be almost a daily occurrence but I have no idea why. For what it is worth I see little point in knowing our slideshow views, today or ever and would not mind this vanishing altogether, but others may feel differently. Does anyone know why this is happening or if we re going to get to a point where these particular stats are always there or not at all? (for the record, at time of typing this post they are missing again)
Thanks
Seems you're not the first to see this: http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/87463
Any chance it could be because you're not getting any sometimes? Or do you usually get a high number of slideshow views?
I will look at your link in a second QM, thanks for posting it. No, I get loads normally, and what is happening is the entire two columns vanish from the stats, it isn't that they have zero views, they just aren't there at all over my entire 256 hubs!
This is a screenshot of my stats header so you can see the columns are actually missing. Sorry I have no idea how to make it bigger, but I reckon you can work it out by zooming in using the 'view' tab.
Sorry but I've no idea on this one. I don't have slideshow views on my account header either (on several accounts.)
I had a feeling there was an announcement about removal of this statistic ages ago, but since people are sometimes still seeing them, I guess they didn't.
Cagsil did mention in the thread having figured it out, maybe ask him?
Just read the thread and I reckon Cags means he has worked out that they do keep coming and going, not necessarily why. I will ask him anyway though. I bet if I check my stats tomorrow though they will be back again (and no doubt yours will be too). Honestly it is happening all the time. I was really pleased the first time I ever noticed because I thought they had been got rid of for good, but then they reappeared the following day. Ever since then they appear and disappear randomly for no apparent reason and with no explanation.

Hello Hubbers!I'd like to give you a heads up about slideshow stats going away (sometime around the end of the week). We're removing them because:1. The information they provide has not been particularly useful2. The numbers we are able to provide are not entirely accurate, so even those who like...

Hey Hubbers,If you've not taken a look at your statistics page, then I advise you do so. It appears as if Staff has completely eliminated the slideshow views as a statistic? If this was indeed the case and it wasn't moved elsewhere, then why wasn't the community told about it?If it was moved to...

Maybe it's just me, but I find the stats page harder to read. It seems too crowded. Is there any way to stretch the box wider and perhaps shade the slideshow views to make it easier to read?

The listing for Photo views seems to appear randomly on our Statistics page. How about adding a tab to the page just to the right of "page views" where we can click on to see our photo views? Or a separate page even. With the monetizing of the slideshow this could be a good feature....

Stats have updated three times today. The one day, seven day and 30 day totals have changed but the 'Page Views Ever' have remained the same with each update. The last time this happened (in October) I lost 15,000 views in the 'Page Views Ever' total. What's happening now with...

Today I have S(tats)P(age)D(epression) in a big way. Thirty-seven down arrows. Three up arrows. I’m trying to figure out how to handle this low blow to my ego. Why, oh why, couldn’t the stats get stuck on the up numbers instead of the down ones. Google analytics...
